I eat once a day, I eat 2 ribeye steaks, 5 eggs, an a avocado, and some bacon strips, at 12 noon. No more meals just water until the next day at 12 noon, I feel younger, stronger, healthier, i run , i lift weights, i am 56 years old, and feel 25. Praise the Lord, oh by the way I dont get hungry.

less time focusing on cooking and eating. less energy used on digestion. it's great. the downside is I'm a bit weak while in a fasted state, it makes it hard to push heavy weights and hit PRs until after meal, also I tend to gorge on food when its meal time.. overeat which is bad.

It works. So do other methods. Fasting is usually best for someone who has been abusing junk and not eating properly for years. People who work 10 to 12 hours a day on commercial buildings, lifting heavy tools and machinery all day on your feet and then hitting the gym after work. Doing this 5 or 6 days out of the week, I absolutely guarantee you that one meal a day would be suicide. And so would omitting carbs.

As soon as you tell a work colleague or someone who’s older than you are fasting and you’re not eating any food in work, they tell you it’s so unhealthy, you shouldn’t do it. You need to eat five meals a day blah blah blah 😂😂😂 the world is brainwashed into eating and eating and eating while not understanding it’s only in very recent years humans have only been able to access food whenever they want. The majority of time humans have spent on this planet you couldn’t eat whenever you felt like eating, you would eat once a day for thousands of years, you didn’t have a choice and we have made it this far but they still think you’re supposed to eat five meals a day it’s crazy.

It's too hot to eat during the day. Better for me to eat when work in heat is done. Most want to stay young looking, im grey headed, fit/ lean body type, and can work circles around younger 'looking' people. I also box semi professionally, and have been told I'm an old man with a young man's body. Either way. I'm not stuck on myself at all and simply try to eat right so I can live. Every day above ground is a good day. Even the worst day is only 24 hrs. God bless.

i think a serge nubret style diet model is far more sustainable. One meal in the morning, another at night (this one has most of the protein in the form of meat, milk etc). In between you can get plenty of autophagy, and not worry about prepping a bunch of tupperwares or buying food during the day. And because i had a bunch of protein at night I would sleep like a stone

Mike seems like a great guy but let’s not overlook that he’s been heavily “enhanced” for lack of a better term, not saying he doesn’t hit the gym hard and watch his diet because there’s no way to get his size without really hard work, but let’s say results not typical, if you are a natty.

I thought there was something wrong with me, by eating once a day. I drink allot a fluids and take supplements, I think there is something to this. The funny thing is I am never hungry. Fasting cleans out the body. Even a little fast, it just does not just have to water in the beginning. But once the body gets used of it, the fast becomes easier.

Exercise it self has more autophagy then fasting and you dont need to be fasted its happening constantly in the body. Fasting and working out together does enhance this effect, also not eating after your workout creates a surge in growth hormone which in beneficial for aging.

I'm a meat eater and I make sure I get my protein in that's for sure, steak , burgers, chicken . The key phrase here is calorie deficit. It'll change your life. I agree with most of these statements. Problem is u got to pack your nutrition needs in 1 meal. Difficult to do for most people. If u have protein shakes that's not fasting. You spike insulin as soon as the shake is consumed. Also Autophagy if full mode is triggered after 36 to 48 hours of fasting.

I agree with you, he is on the juice..but you can eat one meal a day and still get jacked naturally. He's right about slowing down your metabolism. You have to eat a big balanced meal in order to get the nutrients, so calorie counting (which he quickly dismissed when asked how much he consumes) does matter. You have to count the macros, so you don't over eat and hit your targets. I workout on a empty stomach, in the morning, get a protein shake in afterwards, drink water for the rest of the day at work, then I eat a big dinner after I get home from work. For my size I take in 200 grams of carbs, 160grams of protein and 40-50 grams of fat on average...For example I'll have a 2 baked salmon fillets, cut up chicken breast with riced cauliflower, broccoli with melted shredded gouda. I feel full so I don't eat again until the next day. It's not easy in the beginning but it gets easier as you do it. Get yourself a food scale and a free app to track your macros.

Another good point Mike makes. We used to do something called endurance killing. Because we weren't faster than our prey, we had to tire out our prey. Because animals can't breathe through their skin like humans (sweating), we would run and hide above high places for long periods of times. When amimals would pant, we would kill. So thats where socializing csme from. Once a day people would gsther around a fire and eat. Once a day. This is how we evolved. Not 3 square meals. The fascinating thing about our bodies is glucose is a non essential nutrient. Our livers and kidneys can work together to make carbs via a process called gluconeogenesis. When you're fasting ypur body kicks in its survival mechanisms and releases glycogen as well. So if your have a fatty liver from eating large amounts of carbs your liver will begin to become fat, literally because it stores too much glycogen. If you have a fat belly, chances are you have a fatty liver. I can go on and on but fact of the matter is you're not rebuilding or healing when you're eating. You're actually dying because your organs are working over time. You're healing when you're not eating because your body has a break to heal itself in a cellular level. When you fast just make sure you're doing non artificially sweetened electrolyte drops ypu csn get on Amazon. Not pedialyte nor that crap you get with a bunch of sucralose. Sucralose kills you're good gut bacteria commonly known as prebiotics. Another key to great health is maintaining a healthy good bacterial presence in your system. It's your defense mechanism against everything including disease.

When I was younger going to school and working, I ate once a day. It was not my plan. I was busy and not that hungry. I was a big gym rat. I was 275-280 of muscle. I did lose weight. It all depends on the individual. I would not eat once day as a diet plan. I eat when I'm hungry. The once a day diet is for losing weight. You always have to think about it. I reached my weight goal of 180lbs, and I’ve wanted to increase mass, I add in two meals a day, on Post workout for the protein, but still both meals within a 6 hour window. I’ve never felt healthier. I can tell my body fat percentage is dropping. 4 days out of the week I do 2 meals, 3 days a week I do 1 meal. Almost strict carnivore diet followed. I try and eat this everyday, and I do with maybe 1 cheat meal a month. When I say I try to eat this everyday, because I’m trying to gain muscle, I’m “over eating” but funny thing about 🥩, when your full your full, it’s hard to over eat. Sorry for the rant, lastly I try to consume this everyday, I’ll put them in order of importance to me. 1/4lbs salmon 1/4lbs liver 2 avocados 1.66lbs grassfed beef (sometime I can only eat 1.24lbs 2 tablespoons grassfed butter (in my coffee) Lastly I supplement with an AG1 type product to still get all the vitamins and minerals of veggies, not sure if it’s necessary but it gives me peace of mind.
