Fun fact: you can take out deconstruction and upgrade planners from their icons in the bottom left corner and then put black/whilelists on them, to ensure you don’t accidentally deconstruct your oil pipes or upgrade something like mk2 substations before you have them unlocked

The green circuit column, about 11 minutes in - you have to know by now that blueprints can be tiled right? You don't have to place every copy above the previous one, just click and drag like you do belts after you've configured the blueprints right!

yeah i like to use the copy-paste function, it would be nice if there was a key i could hold to enable snapping on those instead of having to make a blueprint outta it

@@DocJade Shift-copy? That let you make a temporary blueprint that you can play with, unless that's not what you are looking for

Nice. I prefer designing grids with trains, but as a suggestion - designing small tileable lines with a plan and way to further extend them is sorta the way around of making constant rebuilds due minor mishaps, as well as it provides you with small trickle of resources to further extend your production and not stall.

As someone who just finished a 1k spm krastorio2 base I gotta say even to make like 10 spm later your gonna need like 40x this amount, lds is a nightmare at the end, ecu's devour lds, I go through like 5 purple belts of copper a minute just making lds

If you are clicking and dragging a belt, you can press R and it will always turn towards your cursor

how do u make the ghost of belt do a 90° turn?

just like when you are placing it regularly, except hold down shift to place ghost. So lets say you are building straight with shift held down, press r to rotate and it will snap to the section you are currently building, then keep placing in that direction
