Wtf was this game. It was the biggest disappointment of 2022, the story made no sense and the antagonists were a joke, the dialogue was corny Af, and the characters sounded like marvel characters rather than characters from Norse Mythology. Kratos is not Kratos anymore. Atreus is annoying af and overall the story feels like it was written by a child. They ruined a story that had so much potential.

It’s stated in the first game that the prophecy of Ragnarok didn’t take into account Kratos & because of that fimblewinter arrived 100 years earlier than it was supposed to. Had Kratos not existed or not intervened, I like to believe Tÿr eventually escaped his cell & would later unite an army against Odin & his forces & be the God of War that was prophesied in Groa’s prophecy

I love the way Santa Monica completely subverted expectations with Kratos. In the first game the prophecy showed him dying by thors hand. We also see the camera pan over to atreus when Kratos talks about sacrificing everything, and he looks at them. They had all the foreshadowing set up and everything just to pull an uno reverse. And they did such a good job too that it wasn't dumb and it didn't feel out of place. Truly a well crafted story, with some of the best acting I've ever seen captured

Funny coz Odin's action to prevent Ragnarok by trying to control the 9 realms led to his downfall. If he only tries what Tyr tried and be better, Ragnarok would be averted. He only wants to pursue knowledge by uncovering the mystery of the realm.
