Loki: Well for starters, the mask was pointing straight at that wolf, and Heimdall, you know the guy you sent with us, he ran away the second we got to Hel and Thrud, who told me not to, but I thought we needed to move the Wolf to get to where the Mask was pointing to, and I thought the only way to do it was to remove his chains to get him to move. Kratos is many things but a hypocrite is not one of them. He may be cagey about his past, and insist others be better, but he does not pretend that he's a saint, nor does he give people grief over mistakes he himself made once upon a time. Atreus fucked up, he wasnt pretending he didnt, so kratos was fully supportive. Yelling at an already guilty atreus would accomplish nothing.

Kratos was the only one wise enough to acknowledge that Atreus had made a mistake; and that Atreus was fully aware that he had. Him supporting Atreus and offering to help him fix it was what Atreus needed at that time instead of judgement. But Kratos also realized that he made a mistake in how he was parenting Atreus, which lead to him being driven away. I love the relationship between these two; and I would never think that I would be looking to Kratos for parenting advice.

2:20 Heimdall... you bear just as much responsibility for this as Atreus does. You know he doesn't know much about these worlds and the entire reason why Odin sent you along was to escort Thrud and Atreus and... Oh, I don't know, do adult things like say: "Hey! Don't let that giant wolf go free! It's an unkillable beast! You need to find another way around it."
