The arc these two had over this game is one hell of a journey. She went from obsessively trying to murder him to nervously pacing outside Valhalla worrying that he might die. Talking to her girlfriends like a worried wife. I like how Kratos is softening in her presence as well. Reminds me of how he was with Faye. They tried to kill each other too and then ended up falling for one another.

I don't think their conversation had to do with marriage but a partnership. Basically, Freya is now the most experienced and highest-standing Norse God left meaning she holds a lot of respect, Kratos is now essentially the new All-Father because of what he did in the main game but is still seen as an outsider. Makes sense for Freya it come up with the idea of a partnership where they would work as equals to govern the realms. However, Kratos is still hesitant to do that as he clearly doesn't think he can do it but more importantly, deserves to be the one to do that. Will there be a romance involved? Yeah as the tension is very clear. Do I see it being cemented anytime soon? Nah as the best we will get for any confirmation for a genuine marriage would be in the next game as Kratos would no longer be the main character and just be referenced.

Completely wrong, its literally stated several times in the dlc that Freya wants kratos to rule alongside her because the mortal worship kratos as their savior. Tyr himself literally says this as well. He says he wants kratos to take his place because the mortals see kratos as their hero for leading the armies into Ragnarok and they only see Tyr as a myth.

You can tell they both like each other and frankly while yes Baldur was killed right in front of her he also didn’t give Kratos or Atreus a choice and was more than dangerous enough that he couldn’t be left alone. Eventually Freya was able to see That but it took time and having to get to know Kratos for here to truly understand who he is at his core. And in doing so began to fall for him and Freya makes Kratos a much gentler man as well cuz it’s obvious he has a high opinion of Freya.

In context later, it was actually about Freya wanting to form a Council and have Kratos appointed as the new God of War of said council. They made it appear as though they were talking about their feelings for each other. Which I'm sure Santa is PRETTY well aware of everyone's view of those two's relationship. So it didn't surprise me they would try to tease on that subject with how vague each conversation went about said decision Kratos must think about. You'll realize that this was actually regarding to the whole God of War position when you notice the key lines from Kratos saying "It is not her I'm avoiding" and "I do not believe she understands what she asks of me." The latter of these two lines referring to his past as being the God of War.

They were talking about two different things, when kratos talks about his “value” for Freya, that was actually talking about feelings There is a dialogue of mimir stating that what he hears from kratos sounds like unrequited love, confirming that his value for her is indeed love, mimir hints that Freya feels the same but then he states that due to some problems they haven’t talked about it and yes the main things are Faye, Baldur and Odin Then they jump to the reason Kratos is avoiding her, which is his position of God of war

Cause to a point, "valuing" someone doesn't just mean you love them or have feelings for them. And to be frank, I didn't get that from the way Kratos was saying it. And I don't see him saying something regarding his feelings for a person in that way either. Plus it seemed to me they were talking about the same thing. It all started in regards to Kratos avoiding her and he made clear it wasn't her she was avoiding. Which is effectively how you build up to later reveal that it was about him becoming the God of War. You can't tell me it isn't especially considering the ending of the conversation was noting that Freya doesn't understand what she asks of Kratos. I can't see how this is them talking about two different things. And I'm not sure which dialogue you are referring to. Whether it's from this video or just in the DLC in general. I've pretty much seen much of the possible conversations within the content and at no point did I get any hints of a conversation where Mimir laid it out that thick on the fact of them being in love with each other. So I'm not sure where you got that from. If you're able to find a video pinpointing that exact exchange and send it for me to see, then I'll accept it for what it is. But from my knowledge, nothing of that nature was really discussed clear cut other than his decision to be the new God of War. To me, it just seemed clear that Santa was teasing us with the whole idea of the two holding feelings with how the initial dialogue conversations were going. Pretty much a ruse really.

I would show you a clip but not many people have survived long enough in the start of Valhalla and those who do skip the dialogue lmao

Kratos and Freya are not going to get together. They are better as close allies. Given that fact that he KILLER HER SON IN FRONT OF HER and all. And she even admits that part of her will always be angry at Kratos after the spell holding her in Midgard is broken. Kratos meeting Faye happened because it needed to. Kratos doesn't need another wife, nor another child.

In my playthrough, there was an audio glitch when you first met Freya and the Valkyries where they're all muted and Mimir's head is just hovering behind Sigrun's hand. I tried it a few times and it is still like that. I use the PS4 disc version.

When i played the base game i really only sawed them as just Best Friends and allies, but after seeing this... FREYA HAS A CRUSH ON KRATOS, THIS ISN'T JUST FRIENDSHIP. These two are perfect for each other, the fact that he even went to Valhalla without warning her means more than his insecurity about how he can be a new leader for the nine realms, he clearly wasn't ready to face her because he probably has feelings for her, but as Kratos is the tough guy who hides and controls his emotions stereotype, he rather preferred facing battles in Valhalla than dealing with this directly.

I also would like to add that for people who may have misgivings on their relationship or potential relationship need to remind themselves of one thing. Mortals live their lives knowing one day it will end. Where as gods are concerned they live literal lifetimes, 100s of times over. They don’t think of things the same way mortals do… In many Pantheons gods betray each other and fall in love such as it was in the Greek Pantheon. As much as they have been through as much as they both have grown it is not out of the realm of possibility. It’s also been a gradual build up which is much appreciated.

Here’s my reason to believe that Freya hadn’t asked anything romantic of Kratos. When Mimir talks about his relationship trouble with Sigrun he admits that it was because he felt inadequate despite his feelings for her and turned her down when she tried to kiss him. Kratos didn’t approve of Mimir’s self-depreciation or his decision to reject Sigrun over that. Since the first God of War game Kratos has undergone major character developments and become quite the stand up guy. And while I can totally see Kratos rejecting Freya because of his own self doubt due to his past, it’d also make him a huge hypocrite because he’d be doing the same thing Mimir did. And I don’t want Kratos to be a hypocrite. I’d like him to remain honorable.
