Agreed, though it would have to be after God of war 4, and Episode 5, as vader would never let his doubt surface till he learned about luke and watch luke try to kill himself just to avoid helping vader, and Kratos would not be willing to admit half of what vader needs to hear from him till he and atreus have been able to bond and kratos realizes he's holding onto a lot of his past out of fear.

I feel as though I can relate to it, actually. When I was younger, my Bi-polar disorder and multiple forms of anxiety hadn't been properly diagnosed, and nothing worked. I was driven by a constant pain, a constant NEED to hurt people who were closest to me, because I thought nothing was wrong. In about 2012, Life nearly led to the end. I decided to stand up for myself against my own thoughts, and sought proper treatment. I still, to this day, relive some of the most hurtful things I'd said or done in that time of my life. I don't even like talking about who I was before that day I chose change. And I also struggle to forgive myself for what I did in my youth. I understand it's not on the same scale as this.. But the message is there. Don't let your shadow consume you. Choose to face it, and fight for your life. It may be the only chance you get, in the end.

Wow! I never really gave it thought before, but Darth Vader and Kratos are more alike than I realized! Both are warriors driven astray by false idols, guilt weighed so heavy on both that they accepted themselves as monsters, and during their life's journeys as "monsters" fought tooth and nail to achieve redemption in their own way of acceptance. Only difference is that kratos was already living a life of destruction and murder as a Spartan Vader fell in trying to selfishly cling onto what he had left and in doing so lost even more yet his feelings on the failings of the Jedi order were not unwarranted. (Disclaimer there's more if u like depth) it was the extremes he went to that made him a villain kratos was done dirty by the ultimate dead beat dad but he was out here hurting innocent people long before his dark lord his "palpaatine" so to speak being ares got to him. And yes they were raised differently but both essentially were slaves one was breed for battle the other for cattle to raise cattle anyway blud milk wasn't gonna milk itself. But point is Anakin's fall was even safer than kratos the thing the really connects them was their lives being ruined controlled and manipulated by outside forces since their births and beyond. They truly had no choice in becoming the monsters they became but it was their decisions afterwards and during their dark reigns that defined them they are sort of both parallels and inverses while kratos in youth saw no wrong in what he did untill it cost him his family he later did what he could to be better (still not quite a hero) I'm playing god of war 4 he barley wants to help anyone unless they are useful. But he's trying cuz of atreaus mean while Anakin in youth has so much compassion so much longing to help no only himself and his loved ones but the galaxy at large but Vader.....man kills everyone I mean u barely see any glimpses of morality hell the only hints on the og trilogy was him say let's end this destructive conflict hitting at him not liking unessacary bloodshed but he also could have been trying to manipulate Luke he also though says it too late for me showing regret and ultimately saved him but it takes other media like the cartoons and comics together with the movies to truly show the good left in him. He selflessly saved padmes old Friend and saved and provided resources to his old slave friends when he didn't have or need to but the true difference is until the end Vader didn't see what he had become or try to change kratos did long before his end his omega . Wonderful concept, maybe I have an idea: Kratos (yes, him again) discussing with Boa Hancock (from One Piece) about their sordid past, the fact that both were slaves (of the Celestial Dragons on one side and Ares on the other) and both bear the marks of their shameful servitude. Therefore, Kratos may try to convince Boa Hancock to get rid of her hatred of men, explaining that this hatred is self-destructive and could lead her to commit acts she would regret in the future, as he with his former hatred of the gods that caused the destruction of an entire pantheon. He could encourage her to open her heart more by taking inspiration from Luffy, the only man she loves, and it would be in this way that a new path will be offered to her: the path of healing.

Cheesey nonsense. These two would have hated eachother right up until vader sacrificed himself. Palpatine was vader's ares. Unlike Kratos, vader continued to serve his ares even after he clearly caused him to lose everything he loved. Kratos would not be able to relate to that. He would be confused and disgusted by it. Vader believed he could salvage the situation by bringing order to the universe and then overthrow palps, but kratos would have seen that as naive, pointless, and self-defeating given what he coukd see vader was. Meanwhile vader would see Kratos as selfish, arrogant and without greater purpose, as a lucky jerk who got a second chance at love, or worse he'd hate kratos for being able to move on from his slain wife and daughter, seeing it as Kratos not truly loving them enough if he could so easily move on. Kratos' redemption in the new games was rushed as hell anyway, so acting like kratos is some great paragon of redemotion is ridiculous. The monster Kratos was no longer truly remained to be redeemed by the time we see him chopping down that tree. It was pretty much an entirely different guy, so the thing that people seem to love so much about the games' story, that being his supposed character development, was utterly hollow, and people are just clinging to oxytocin. You can't marvel at him growing from the monster he was if he isn't even remotely the monster he was anymore!!
