Holy crap man, this takes me back to when I was in 7th grade. I played the hell out of this game when I had my PSP. The main reason why I bought it in the first place was to play as Kratos, and goddamn that he did not dissapoint me, he was the character that I played the most because of the way he used all of the abilities he had at that time.

Woah! Max is finally playing a handheld game since his playthrough of the SFIV 3DS?! Never would have thought he'll be back playing another handheld game! That is awesome! He maybe playing on a PPSSPP emulator, but still, really nice to see him playing a few handheld titles! :D

I think I saw him playing the PSP version of Alpha 3 (best version content wise) fairly recently but it is nice. Portables rarely get exclusive fighting games or bonuses for long but being able to take that experience anywhere is a joy. I hope the Switch does this more.

Pretty sure the sorta lore implication is that Aeon the Lizardman devoured his fellow Spartan Kratos. This is why Lizardman's moveset in SCV was similar to Kratos with the dual axes and wings.

Yeah it's very loosely inplied in Aeon's backstory. Either way, yeah SCV Lizardman's moveset did take elements of Kratos moveset. I liked that they did that to keep the feeling of a guest character's moveset in the series.

Ah, I miss this game. I used to spend hours playing this game and having 1,000+ fights in Quick Battle. The graphics look really good for a PSP game with the backgrounds having a lot of detail. I stopped playing this game when my PSP died about a year ago.

God of War is getting so many good reviews because it is among the few releases in recent years to remember that consoles are for interactive entertainment experiences. I.E Games, and not glorified slot machines.

This game did have character endings, but they were all “what if” endings. Hence the title Broken Destiny.

Kratos' style became Aeon's in Soul Calibur 5.

The critical finish is all soul gauge you don't need to remove the armor. Forcing them to block and mainly parrying lowers the opponents soul gauge. You did have to watch out for their burst which was down×3 abk, it destroys their armor but prevents critical finishes.

Really was a shame that Kratos never found his way to the console SC games since he did look really good on the PSP (and not many people actually recall that he was on the PSP version). Now though, I don't know it we would still want Greek Kratos or Norse Kratos since both versions have their own flavor of badass.

Personally, I love the concept of Dampierre. A charlatan who uses dishonest tricks and hidden daggers (SO MUCH YES FOR THAT WEAPON.) Just when you think he'll go down just as easily and pathetically as Dan, he reveals that he's already turned the tables with his deception.

You really don't need to break off all there armor, in fact breaker there armor restores some of there soul gauge,but hits to the respective area where the armor was broken will do more damage to them, one way you can restore soul gauge quickly is tap down three times and A+B+K to armor eject this will restore soul gauge based on how many armor pieces you had (unless you have no armor then you recover nothing), however this will make your character take more damage due to having no armor (doing this on custom characters leaves pretty much naked except for there underwear, it's kinda funny for some mind games) this last for the whole fight so if you armor eject the first round you are setting yourself at a big disadvantage. Also one thing I like to do is sometimes I put my friend's soul gauge in the red then use a soul crush to critical finish them at the beginning of the next round he finally learned he needed to armor eject, but it was still funny to do.

What's funny is that much like Noctis from FFXV, you could argue that while SC might have been a better fit for Kratos, there were other fighting games that did give him a better showcase in what he can do. Still, it was great to see him in so many crossovers (and hope there will be a second coming with GoW now out).
