māui or maui is the great culture hero and trickster in polynesian mythology. very rarely was māui actually worshipped,
tales of maui exploits and adventures are told throughout most of polynesia; they can be traced back as far west as islands off new guinea. some exploits common to most polynesian traditions are stealing fire for humans from the underworld, fishing up islands with his magical hook, and capturing the sun to lengthen the days. later on he was in disney's moana movie and now he rap battles against kratos
kratos is a character and the protagonist of the one and only santa monica studio's god of war series, based on greek mythology and, later, norse mythology. he first appeared in the 2005 video game god of war, which led to the development of eight additional titles featuring the character as the protagonist. with christopher judge taking over the role in 2018's continuation, also titled god of war. antony del rio voiced a young kratos in ghost of sparta.
throughout the greek era of the series, kratos is portrayed as a spartan warrior who becomes known as the "ghost of sparta" after being deceived by his former mentor ares into murdering his family. he later avenges their deaths and becomes the new "god of war" after killing ares. kratos is eventually revealed to be a demigod and the son of zeus, who later betrays him. he embarks on several adventures in attempts to avert disaster or to change his fate, and is generally portrayed as a tragic figure. kratos finds himself controlling his rage and learning how to truly be a father and mentor to his son, atreus, helping him come to terms with his divinity. along their journey, they combat monsters and gods of the norse realm, which inevitably leads to the catastrophic battle of ragnarök. and now he battles maui in a rap battle by freshy kanal.

I'm blown away, I'm fucking blown away. I barely know both franchises, yet this battle was so PEAK! Kratos bar was heavyweighted and you can feel the impact in his disses whereas Maui was cooler and collected, retaining his composure entirely despite how hard Kratos hit him in his disses. The fact that this was actually portrayed as both a rap battle and a real one too, I just loved it. I'm slightly rooting for Kratos but I honestly don't care who wins! All I know is that this better not turn out like Caine vs Alastor, because these two were at each other's throats start to finish.

Bruh, Kratos killed him: From bringing up the backstory on how his family disowned Maui. Even when Maui brought up Spartans got rid of babies, it's like... you were that baby in a sense Maui. The fact Maui died crawling into a goddess and trying to exit out her mouth only to be cut in half and dead. My vote is Kratos.
