This man was a genius. Sampling before anyone had thought of it and making music that was so far ahead of it's time, both in Can and solo work. I've lost 2 of my heroes this year with Jaki going too. Persian Love still makes me cry whenever I hear it and Dizzy Dizzy astonishingly brilliant. I love you Holger. RIP.

One of the beautiful things about growing older is having the time and headspace to explore artists you were never exposed to before. CAN is one of those bands I had no idea existed until a couple of years ago. It took a bit of time to adjust and acclimate to what they do, but now they are among my all-time favorites. The music is brave, risky as hell, a bit crazy, and a real journey. Glad I got to know the genius of Czukay & Liebezeit before they passed.

I've loved Can since 1973, at 16 in Australia. Bel Air, timeless music. A question... what would Holger thought of Oskar Sala and the Trautonium( and its' context)? Jamie Briton

ok, 13th floor elevator was around with their mini moog that time, but ok, technical music might be invented by the mechanists, the inventors, the germans, like the flying discs, and all that stuff. r.i.p. h.m.
