I'd say Deadpool is the only one that doesn't make sense there (and also one closest to comics?) the others are SPUM movies where Sony want a hero that isn't Spider-man as they don't have full control of him and Black Adam is blatantly the Rock wanting to be a hero not a villain. I just feel I can't get behind any of these films going away from the proper character. Also I like ATJ and want him in a better film

Hey, I mean fuck! Yeah it’s really no more plausible than being bitten by a radioactive spider. So why not? Maybe they could have some cool origin for the Lion, and say that the Lion he tried to hunt was a genetic experiment, or was exposed to a nuclear site, or something weird like that. Maybe that’s the reason it looks so big and muscular compared to actual lions, obviously besides the fact that it’s cgi.

Does he have powers in the comics? I thought Kraven was "cool" because he's like Batman---a non-supe human at peak athleticism who has all these resources for their respective hobbies. Bats's hobby is fighting crime in gotham, Kraven is hunting Spidey.

@@casualpotato44 Not really. He took a semi-magical concoction made by Calypso, a voodoo priestess/witch doctor type person that gave him enhanced strength, speed, stamina and senses. From what I've seen in the trailer, it's doing something similar. He looks like a more animal-based Taskmaster now, copying animals' behaviours and movements while also being an absolute unit.

I think where Sony falls short, is they don't fully develop these characters for Spiderman. This and Morbius would be so great if these were actual bad guys that led them to a battle against Spiderman instead of trying to make every character into so kind of good guy where you know they are going to team up against some other bad guy. I want a "superhero" movie that focuses on the bad guy and really makes you hate him.

Maybe it is! The family name is Kravinoff and Kraven more of a title. Heard a theory that his dad is comic Kraven and he took animals and mutated them, so that is why the lion has magic blood. And later, Kraven believes J.J.J. that Spider-Man is a bad guy or it's Andrews version in his vengeful phase. But they probably just wanted to make Kraven a nice hero and didn't put that much thought into it

Alyosha Kravinov in particular. The son of Sergei by an Atlantean mutant. Also known as Kraven II and himself a member of the Sinister Six, making him the fourth member of the Kraven family to be in that team (I'm including Gog because Sergei rescued and raised him). Chameleon and Kraven himself being the other two.

The idea of building up Spider-Man's villain roster first before introducing a Spider-Man is pretty interesting but at the same time I have no idea if they'll pull it off. But I'm all for a Rated R Spider-Man projects if that's just a film about his villains or a Rated R Spider-Man film itself maybe something like Kraven's Last Hunt one of the darkest Spider-Man comics. I feel like Madam Webb will tie everything together and introduce this new Spider-Man, most likely set in Venoms Universe of Earth-688 along with the other Sony Spider-Man related projects. All Sony has to do is have the writers of Into the Spider-Verse write these live action Spider-Man films. Like at least have good writing that's all I want great stories and then focus on the visuals, action etc. I personally enjoyed the Venom films, mostly for Eddie and Venoms interactions but everything beyond this was a little underwhelming. But overall I'm excited just hope the writing is good as these action scenes look pretty fun.

I hope at the end of Kraven's movie that we get hints for his appearance in a Spider-Man movie, although I do hope it's for the Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man. Andrew Garfield Spider-Man could finally be THE Spider-Man that could bring to our movie screens the live-action Sinister 6. Holland's universe tried doing it in the 1st movie with Scorpion & Vulture (but denied it in-movie from Toomes) & I don't think there's much villains left for the 6 in Maguire's universe. Andrew Garfield's universe laid down his 6 with the most hints from the Gentleman in his with Green Goblin & Rhino (plus Doc Ock & Vulture; as well as hints with Mysterio & Kraven). Sure the other 2 Spider-Men fought against aliens, but how would they feel if one of them had to fight against against a syndicate of all of his worst villains against him together!!!!!
