I like the content and build process. Do us a favor and turn the background music down and change it up. The repeating gets annoying after 14 minutes of watching. I personally don't think KZbinrs need background music on video's like this, but that's my humble opinion. And after seeing the end of the video, it seems like table is to tall.

Thank you for this. You may know if you looked at my channel i am new to this and honest feedback is very valuable i will be mindful of the over musicacation in the future. As far as the height of the table is concerned i agree … if this was for normal table purposes. What is in those 2 boxes is a CNC machine that i won’t be actually working on but putting material on it and sending it to work. Also as i talked about the height was due to the need of maximizing space in my small garage. Thank you for watching and the feedback.

@@builtforlife I was thinking that the table is awesome (with a little lowering). Maybe figure a way to allow the legs to fold and you can put it on the wall when you're not working. But that would be a big challenge. Keep up the good work and as a new KZbinr you're doing great!

Love the nesting concept, gonna save this one! Also, maybe save you some trouble...you can run a hose from a DeWalt planer (blower assist) into a trash can with hole in lid, or even a pillow case with duct tape for that matter when running outside, no worry about fine dust.

What helped me when doing glue ups is not over tightening the clamps. When you put the pipe clamps on and saw that massive bow, you just needed to release some of the cranking power on the clamp. Pipe clamps in my opinion are the best clamp because they are so strong and way more affordable than lab parallel clamps. You only need to tighten it until you see an even bead of glue squeeze out. Over tightening can potentially cause uneven glue ups or could even damage the clamp. With all that being said, it’s a great build. Just found your channel by the algorithm and of the video I have watched, I like the content you create. Keep up good work man!

First great idea. If you wanted to make the good edge 90 degrees to the good face you should have planed first then used the straight edge with the flat face as the reference. Also using a sled to flatten the board it must be shimmed and stable on the sled so the rollers don't move or force the board flat. If you have a bowed or cupped board before the planning, you will have a bowed or cupped board after the planning. The board will be smooth but not flat. And last I don't understand why your out feed saw horse is so much lower than the table saw, it looks dangerous. I'm not knockings you final results they are nice.

Yeah i understand some of my methods are not ideal, but i think that’s part of the journey. I learned a lot taking on this build i created problems and found solutions and ultimately ended up with a great table. There is a lot cut out of this video so it’s not 2 hours long. Thank you for watching and for the feedback.

That table is nice! Whats cheaper that steel or extruded aluminum? Cool that you have welder. For me I would have to use the extruded aluminum. Easy to take apart, sturdy and lightweight.
@builtforlife
@builtforlife 11 ай бұрын
Well i paid $60 for a shelving unit and got some scrap steel for free… so in this case steel was much cheaper. I want to build something with extruded aluminum i am just cautious about hardware backing out.

@@builtforlife Nice use of scrap materials! I've looked at a number of systems and well after this video I decided to look up some companies that sell this sort of stuff. The locking mechanisms are T-Bolts and once the frame has been constructed it's as solid as a rock. I was looking on ebay for the raw material to see if I can get something like a 4x6 type of frame cheaply. Still looking.

Easy fix for pipe clamps that I do all the time, just add coupling and six inch nipple would have solved your problem.
@builtforlife
@builtforlife Жыл бұрын
Yeah you are right that would have fixed the problem, but the issue was i never dry clamped everything like i should have. If i had dry clamped everything i would have had the opportunity to go get an extension or even just trim the panels down…. You live , you learn.

The metal i think i talk about in the video of the smaller table. It’s a pallet rack then the casters came from lowes and the bolts and nuts came from Bolts.com (online hardware store). Hope this helps.
