This is one of the videos of the high power version of the Minarelli Stage6 Kreidler 70cc with Ftt7014S exhaust, made in 2010.
Several G-measurements with Mr Dyno showed an average power of 22hp at about 14.000rpm
The Minarelli Vertical Stage6 cylinder is tuned max as possible, but still in standard Kreidler cranckcases with narrow (44mm) studs and no welding extra material. If that would be changed there would be more room for transfers and so more power.
The only purpose of this engine was to show a simple and a cheap way to get much power. After the G-force measurments and some movies for exhibition the engine was dismanteled.
It may look some violently, but that was not my intention. That experience is mainly caused by the lacking of a clear view and the 24mm wideangle of the carmera which all seems to go much faster than in reality. This video is only about the acceleration.

Specification the engine this video made in 2010:
- Kreidler engine Minarelli Vertical 70cc cylinder
- Air cooled (not forced cooling)
- 5 speed standard
- UltraSap Ignition
- Ftt7014 exhaustpipe
- Standard Kreidler crankcases with narrow studs 44 mm wide
- Driving position was fully upright, just behind the camera.
- Carburetor Mikuni TM24
- Reedvalve V-force Minarelli horizontal without the center bridge and 4 big polini petals
- 22 hp at 14.000rpm
- topspeed 145 km/h without fairing (driven on A12 sorry no movie)
- bike is standard Kreidler about 75kg
- driver 70 kg
A part of my history:
I started racing in 1964. Computers were still not there. I did hardly no calculation. With the advent of the computer everything has changed and complicated calculations are no problem any more. All old historical notes were struggling. In the past 15 years I got a number of programs. Beside I did developed many programs myself in Excel. It was my profession to do so for my employer for many years.
In 2003 also start making calculations for on request. The most important details can be calculated very accurately for any twostroke engine. For instance the exhaustpipe can be calculated in almost exactly the correct speed for which the setup and cylinder is optimal.
Most important I found out that most tuned engines are not in full balance, that means one or more details are not tuned for the rpm for which the engine was made or was supose to be made.
All details should be made for the same rpm range to stumulate eachother to the top of there optimal function and so to get the most reachable power for any level. Low level or high level makes no difference.
Even by a large kart engines manufacturer (TM) was found to be not entirely correct. With a new calculated combustion chamber and exhaustpipe it was far better then before. Read the results of a super kart at the European Championship in "the comments of requestors on Ftt calulations".
This is also partly due to the information I got from Jan Thiel and was freely available after retiring from Aprilia racing end 2007.
Also the UltraSap ignition developed by my son Raimond was a very important part. The combustion and power are strongly influenced by the kind of ignition. Read about this subject my note on Facebook.

That is a mr Dyno G-force divice, for meassuring G-forces, which can be calculated to horsepower.

Ben momenteel bezig om een oude kreidler rs te restaureren, had toen ik 16 jaar oud was dezelfde brommer.En die liep destijds erg hard met een 50 cc breitwand cilinder.Ik zal ook wel wat video,s gaan uploaden over de restauratie.En tips zijn natuurlijk altijd welkom.

Dear luc, I must first apologize. I did not understand your video well. I thought of a joker as there are many on the net. But after reading your answer, I am confused being a fan of the 50cc competition and having participated in some races in France on a Kreidler that I prepared myself. My idols of the time were Angel Nieto, Jan de Vries and you probably! Really sorry for talking to you like that. I respect you very much and despite my 63 years I still like the category of 50 cc even if it does not exist at great price for a long time. But what a joy to do will soon be a small engine ... In de jaren '70 op een Zündapp 70cc 140 km/u. Geen idee hoeveel pk en hoeveel toeren. Volgens automobilisten reed ik 150 en volgens de politie (rollenbank) ook dus 140 zou het dan wel mogen zijn denk ik.

nee, die was ook van een korte sprint, Op de grote weg werd al eens tegen de 140 gereden, maar de gearing bleek hierbij nog te laag. In een Matlab simulatie is te zien dat het rond de 145 km/h moet zijn.

If you see how fast it goes up to 115km/h up on the bridge, you should, if you have had any experience, already know that 127.5km/h can't be the end.

145 km/h ??? sur le compteur on lit 115 km/h .De plus il n'y a pas de compte tours , mais ayant fait de la compétition en 50 cc sur un kreidler qui prenait 14000 tr/mn pour environ 15 cv , le bruit du moteur que l'on entend ne ressemble pas à un moteur qui tourne à 14000 . 22 cv ? Kreidler Minarelli ? c'est nouveau ? connais pas ! le seul (que je connais) qui faisait 22 cv c'était celui de J.Devries un kreidler Van veen 50 cc dans les années 1970 . Il avait pris au cours du grand prix de Belgique à Spa ,210 km/h ........(info vérifiable )

Dear Robert, I'm racing from 1964 became champ in 1967 and make many Dutch records on 150m dragrace with 90cc Kreidler engines after year 2006. So I know what is going on in the wolrd of twostroke. The computer shows 115km/h for that short sprint, but on the road with more distance it shows 145km/h, but have no video and the engine has already been changed for next projects. Jan de Vries was my vVeen teammate in 1967 so was Aalt Toersen.

Luc Foekema hola, soy español. no trucando la moto de 50c.c a 70c.c, corre tanto mi aprilia rs 50c.c madre mia, que maquina de moto. ¿ como haces que corra tanto con un cilindro de 50c.c? mi aprilia va trucada a metrakit pro race de 70c.c y solo corre 150km/h ( mejor dicho corria, ya no, que la tengo abandonada. saludos.

50cc also possible to get 22hp and more, but that is for racing and not for street purpose. 70cc was not the goal, but 47.6mm bore are the only fast cylinders to get for a airforced cooled Kreidler. So a very easy way the get much power on these old Kreidlers for street purpose. Luc Foekema perdona, no se hablar su idioma, ni se de que pais es usted, pero me creo que es italiano, por que los italianos para mi, son numeros uno en competición. (al menos para mi) si el cilindro metrakit pro race, es de 47,60, de un solo segmento de 0,8m.m y carrera 39,2m.m mi moto es de 49c.c prepare el motor a 70c.c cartes pulidos a espejo ( no se si sera bueno) cigueñal cerrado con biela corta de 80m.m. cojinetes de altas revoluciones, ( son rodamientos) tubo de escape metrakit pro race, y el cilindro, me hicieron dos tranfer mas, era de 6 tranferencia de carga, y 3 de escape de bosster. y me hicieron dos mas de carga, osea 8 tranferencia de carga, no se cuantos cv o hp, sacaba pero alrededor de unos 24 cv o hp. corria 150km/h con un rotor italkit selectra digital variable. ¿ usted me puedes enseñar a preparar un motor de 49c.c con las mismas prestaciones que la suya? gracias.

Luc Foekema ya se quien es usted. jajaja. usted, fue un piloto que a angel nieto le costaba pillar, jaja, decía angel nieto que en gloria este, que tu moto, era la que mas corria de todas. ña kreider, jaja, eres neerlandes. ya me suena, para mi. los italianos eran los mejores mecanicos. pero usted, sabia mas que los italianos.

Ik rijdt met een officieel kenteken bewijs dus geen enkel probleem. Voor de video is slechts 1 sprintje gemaakt van ca 10 sec op een plaats waar het ook echt kon, dus waar hebben we het over.

@@50ccRacing I know about 2 stroke timing, I also use the caliper then convert it to mm I ported a motorized bike cyl with 126 transfers, 165exhaust and 124 intake, unbroken in yet, I ran a reed valve on the last cyl, ports are as they could be, I hope it's a little screamer

mike opheij It depends on how you use the trottle. If you use the pedal to the metal in a streetcar, the car will also have no long live. So it doesn't depends on the Kreidler but on your behavier. You can use it like a racer, but you are not forced to do so. And what do you think why many enthusiast love to have a very fast Kreidler ?
