Kreisler - Praeludium and Allegro: Piano Accompaniment [Fast]

I had no idea about this piece after 45 years of... not even really being a classical musician. Just a general trumpet player side man... but stopped playing some years back. KZbin had a video with Ria Kang performing this and other similar pieces. I was very impressed and watched her particular performance a few times. Then it kept popping up on KZbin with other performers who were good but my favorite was still Ria Kang. There was even another music minus one piano KZbin but it did not have the score. And NOW after vaguely memorizing parts of it... Now after thinking parts of it through over and over and seeing the KZbin videos of it for months and months... NOW I see it's in the key of E minor instead of F minor. I was off a half step in my mind because I had never seen the score. 😱😑 Aaaah! Good thing you posted a video of it with the score 😆

at the end of the cadenza there are octave Bs in the piano part at the start of the bar but these aren't played (instead the broken octaves continue) so its impossible to know when to come in with the forte b in the violin (after the a sharp at the end of the previous bar)? any tips? thanks!

@Kian and the Violin Thanks for the message. If you look at my left hand closely from the beginning of the cadenza (4:25), you will be able to see my pinkie swings higher to play every down-beat louder as it plays tremolo on note Bs. Since I tried to be really steady at metronome 104 for every measure, you should be able to follow every measure if you can see my pinkie swings and hear the accented down-beat. Then "the octave Bs in the piano part at the start of the bar" with the forte B in the violin part is played right at 5:04. Hope that helps, and my apologies that my pinkie is cut off on the screen.

When to come in after the octave B tremolo? Know your music very well and keep your eyes on the violinist - you should see a dramatic up bow before you come in…discuss a suitable que such as a nod of the head.
