This is really cool! I hope that more and more drummers will understand that a good drum sound is possible without triggering everything! I also use a trigger for my bass drum when playing live but when recording in studio it sounds so much more alive and energetic without triggers!

It's probably triggered. So the sound is coming from a computer with special software or a drum-module. If you want something like this i can recommend you the Aquarian Superkick 2, and tune it almost fingertight. Then you'll probably get a sound comparable to this.
