I think it started in 1977 or 78. We students used to stay in Ganesh Mahal 18th Cross and Veena Stores located at 15th cross Margosa Road. The Idli used to cost 25 paise each then. 100-150 idlis common to us on the rummy night. Pradeep with spects now has changed and so were we. Prakash Padukone & Vimal Kumar used to have breakfast here after practice at 8th cross stadium. Nostalgic. Thank you.

Waiter for each table and a slight nod your he would appear like a Genie. 37 ashtray changes for 36 cigarettes ( smoking allowed in those days). Rice Bowl in the Brigade Road. The waiter used to suggest only half a plate of fried rice after observing our alcohol intake. Both of them must be defunct now. Sorry for becoming too nostalgic. I love SI food which I can't access as of now.

The best thing kripal did is eating with hands..even the idli...it was great sign 👍 👌. As his satisfaction might really increased by eating by his own fingers compared to previous veena store vlog and as usual and 'boss' with him 😉 made a heavenly food outing..

What Kripal did is ok but to be honest, we should move on with times and maintain hygiene and eat those foods that can be eaten with spoon, ofcourse some like chapathi and poori cant be eaten with spoon, so there it should be ok using hands. I have seen some videos of foreigners doing food vlogs in India and they genuinely feel they are being respectful and eat with hands but it looks so sloppy and disgusting, they lick their whole palms, not only fingers.

I don't know how you find it disgusting. He is just being natural. Idli and other foods too, can be eaten with or without spoon. It depends on the person, and the point of time. As long as our fingers are clean or washed before eating, it doesn't matter, how we eat - with fingers, or with fork.

Follow your channel. Veena Stores turned out to be an awful experience. Don’t know whether they provide varying quality to reviewers and customers. It was smelly and just threw the rest. This happened at 745 AM when the stock is supposed to be fresh. Not only this but another institution of Bangalore nearby New Krishna Bhavan turned out to be pathetic apart from Sids pizza a dirty understaffed place. Your channel has a big viewership and a lot of people believe you. Sorry to say off late what is shown is sometimes not commensurate with what is experienced. Please check because you are an excellent channel just like Chef Venkatesh Bhatt in the culinary space passionate about good food Don’t allow these joints to undo your labour
