I think it should cost 0 mana. On a minion the charge effect costs barely one mana. But this card has also the extra cost of a being whole extra card. (Which is around 2-3 mana) So technically it costs 3-4 mana if you combine the card cost of the card itself. Especially when you consider that this charge effect is now a really bad one. For example the silence card costs only 0 mana.

the issue would be the bigger cards, if you have a 0 mana charge you can use it with 10 mana minions, cthun and deathwing dragonlord. Dragonlord would be an instant 12 attack with the chance to summon more dragon if you run it into a big minion, so you then may get onyxia or alex that deal an extra 8 damage if you have your second charge. cthun i've seen get up to 30 sometimes, the last thing you want is a minion that can do 30 damage and then instantly attack. it would limit the cards they could do in the future as well as they would probably have to make it around this card

If you have a shield slam, you want to keep armor burst cards like shield block in your hand because you might lose the armor if you use it right away. Kripp played the shield block the next turn because he drew a shield block that turn. He wants to keep the shield block + shield slam combo in his hand.

Lets say you got 20 life and 5 armor, board is empty and you have shield block in hand and enough mana to play it, unless you are looking for a specific card or just want to cycle your deck its better to hero power and pass because you only gain 3 armor less and dont get an extra card which you dont really need because you are in good position. Another reason is that shield block enables your shield slam so in tricky situations you might save it untill you have to slam a bigger creature because if you dont have armor you save shield block+ slam for 5 dmg burst on minon. Sorry if my english is not up to par.

Idea to un-garbage "charge": change "give a minion charge" to "enable the minion to attack" (keeping the "can't go face this turn"), potentially turning it into a pseudo windfury for 1 turn if played on a minion that attacked this turn already, or even almost better if you cast "charge" on that minion twice that turn, but keeping the current synergies.

Kamran Rahmaty well they'd have to change how it works, but essentially the idea is that rather than giving a minion a keyword, this changed card would just enable a minion that cannot attack for any reason (perhaps it was just summoned, perhaps it already attacked, perhaps it's frozen) to attack anyway, just not in the face. That could make charge a possibly relevant, if still a very niche pick, rather than this nerfed-to-oblivion nonsense that it is now.

quick question here... shouldn't all charge minions work like this? This makes them usefull to trade up and make tempo plays, without allowing smorking with chargers. It would be the end of most combo decks and will require lots of balancing, but that the best way I can see to rebalance the cancerous meta

Simon Rohme Are you talking about otk warrior? If so, for me you're totally wrong. Yes, they destroyed a deck but I think the game is way better now. The only reason that deck was hard to play was because it was based on topdecks and luck with matchups cause the only thing you have to do while playing it was resist until you had all the combo pieces in hand... so hard. Also it was really frustrating to see the otk combo working against you with no possibilities to counter it mostly after you played the match well and around all enemy's tactis. I don't know, but a spell that for 1 mana gives a minion charge with the possibility to attack only minions seems pretty fair to me, basically you have what are you paying for, and also allows you the combo with magnataur alpha that is like a good aoe for 5 mana in the warrior class, and I find it really cool. Anyway it's fine to have different opinions, and we'll see in the next expansions if this card will have some new synergies. I'm sorry if my english is not really correct but it's not my native language

Mogar is a 8/5 I think, I think the combo was, Mogar, Whirlwind, Charge, Rampagex2, Faceless for 2 Mogar. Obviously you cant charge the hero, so mogar needed a minion on board to hit, and 50/50 hitting wrong target.
