I think that is because of Jaraxus' hero power. Playing with wrath wreaver and Soul Jugglers basically makes your hero power worthless. Soul juggler is weak in stats but really cool effect while wrathwreaver only works if you consistently keep buying those demons. Kripp did really nice on the whole buffing of what he got idea, and as we saw took him to first place :D

Its only ever useful when you have a full board with nothing that you are willing to replace which means that your are already in ultra late game and the game will probably end in 2 to 3 rounds and those +1/+1 hardly matters at that point.

he most likely consistently does well while your wins are more infrequent. The game then calculates that he should be higher and gives him more points to get him where he should be skillwise

There is a shared pool of minions. I think there are 60 of each 1 star or something ridiculous? So if two people have a triple 1 star there are only 54 left.i may be wrong on counts but they do decrease with star level. There are only a much more limited number of each unique 6 star compared to lower star counts

The game states that while you're queueing for a game. From what I remember there are 6x of a specific 6*, I forgot how many of the rest are there, maybe 8, 10, 12, 15, 18 copy of each minions of 5*, 4*, 3*, 2*, and 1*. The game also states that the minions go back in the pool when you sell them.

I can't believe people think "3 mana give demons +1" is the worst hero. I see players are often buying some shitty "battlecry: buff ONE guy" or "battlecry: buff only attack of one tribe" or "battlecry: buff only health of one tribe" and then selling them again, costing 2 gold and a board slot (yes you can double it with brann, but then you're paying two board slots). Compared to that, jaraxxus' hero power is totally decent. If anything, it's an issue with demons being slightly too weak (or too focused on late high tier units) as a tribe.

If you think about it the Heropower is pretty busted for Demons because you consistently buff your Annihitan Battlemaster or however its called. And give him insane stats like you saw in this video. The Problem with minions that buffs demonstats is you dont always find them. But the the Heropower garantees a buff every turn. I think Demons are very underrated especially with golden Wrath Weaver and Mal Ganis Combo. I had a Demon run where my golden Wrath Weaver was over 60/60 in the Endgame.

I think jarraxus is a difficult play, although the strat should be to habe 2 void walkers, 2 homonculous, and 2 imp warbosses or the one that gives +2+2 to a demon. All these are found in tiers 1 2 and 3. You should only press hero power once you do have 3 pairs of demons and an extra entering mid game. This effectively gives +2+2 to the demons youll eventually merge. Transition into malganis and voidwalkers as you merge your demons and aim for a 7 demon board. It probably fails vs divine shield poisonous but can probably be a consistent mapping of jaraxus

One of the strongest demon cards is the health buffer demon. The problem with this demon is it dies to any poisonous and all 3 of the other tribes usually have a poisonous amalgam. Demons can't have or give poisonous so you fully rely on your stats or a poisonous amalgam like anyone else. Demons are good early and mid game but the late game is just so lackluster compared to windfury, poisonous, stat buffing dudes, and deathrattles

The thing with battlegrounds is that you can easily get wins with bad heroes just due to how the format works. It doesnt heavily rely on your hero to win. So no Hero is really "bad" theyre just not optimal

I think Jaraxxus is hard to make work because he's limiting you to demons which you may not always get, and there aren't really that many demons to begin with, but out of all heroes, he's the one that can make demons really, really work. I've had several absolutely absurd runs with demons through Jaraxxus, and his hero power is the main reason they work. Instead of using your last 3 gold to roll 3 more times for a chance to maaybe improve your board in the future you get guaranteed +abunch/+abunch to the majority of your board that sticks for the rest of the game. Having Voidwalkers with 30 attack by the end of the game is not exactly something anyone else can do. Out of all heroes, I think Jaraxxus is the one that requires you to commit to your minions from the very start and just not sell them. Keep buffing, keep stacking, use your gold for permanent buffs that stick around from turn to turn and really, the only thing that can stop you is bad rolls on demons or poisonous. Poisonous is the bane of demons because they tend to win through sheer size.

Absolutely not, that's be busted. The reason why amalgam is so good is because it is every tribe. Now imagine you're playing mechs, where you can also just pick up any demon synergy with buffs, and keep a single jaraxus on the board. As flavourful as that is lore wise, it really would destroy one of the core themes of the game, which is strategising around tribal mechanics

@@satibel It turns into getting battlecry buffs just too easy to get, removing a lot of what makes battlegrounds battlegrounds. +1/+1 to all is nothing to be sniffed at, especially when it takes 0 effort to get off as everything is just a demon already, as well as getting a freebe tribe for the 5* menagerie style buffer. Demons are one of the weaker tribes, but that doesn't mean making it a free tribe to all cards wouldn't break the balance in some pretty funky ways.

Patwerk is probably better too. Demon is generally either an amalgam or a 6/200 so getting the extra buffs isn't that hard. The only good thing is being able to get the +1/+1 on all creatures. Actually, nevermind, there's the guy who gains +2/+2 (+4/+4) for each demon you play, that one would be broken, just get a brann, malganis and rotate summons and get a 500/500.

Jaraxxus actually seems like a character where you want to get 4+ demons, and then hero power every tavern. So often I see people rerolling 8 times with a full board, going "well I didn't get my thing, that sucks" and passing. Sure, 3 mana +1/+1 isn't great. But when it's 3 mana (+1/+1*5)*10, its suddenly pretty decent.

I feel the only card in demons that is really worth it mid to late game is the Annihilan Battlemaster as you can get its hp well over a 100hp and with some attack buffs it just eats so many mid and small minions though its bad against poisonous. The problem is that card is not even at its best in demons. Its just better with battle cry or just even a splash in a better comp. The problem with demons is there is no reason to stay in it late game. Void lord is pretty weak and Mal'ganis +2/+2 is ok but not like game breaking. So why play demons when you can just play their best card in something else.

Gonna hard disagree with you there. Buying the ability to give something +2/2 for "2 gold" is something you will always do whenever possible mid/lategame, and you usually spend over half your gold rerolling to find something useful anyways. A lot of times though, it's really awkward to make room for a battlecry card because all of the cards on board already have good value. Jaraxxus power is 3 gold for typically at least +5/5, and it's something you'll ALWAYS be able to use, and then maybe you'll also be able to pick up a battlecry in addition. +5/5 with a chance to get more is better than no guarantees but a slightly higher chance to get more. Also, since you're considering selling a battlecry as making it actually cost 2 gold, it's only fair to also factor in the cost of each reroll it took to find that battlecry. Meaning if you rerolled twice to find that menagerie card, and then sold it, you actually paid 4 gold for it. All of a sudden, your comparison looks a lot more in favor of the hero power.

Beasts need tier 3 to start getting good cards and scariest cards are in T5-6. Mechs need tier 4 to start getting key cards. Demons do not need either of mentioned cards to be strong. @@tjmv1183 we got patchnotes, it'll be +1/+1 for 2 after the patch. also mukla gets buffed to buying instead of selling, toki gets changed (i.e. nerfed) and mama bear goes to 4/4 +4/+4.
