I was literally thinking about this. I never thought Khloe was perfect or completely innocent cause she is an adult now responsible for her own actions. But they literally gave her nothing in that family but a name and a bunch of insecurities. It was already bad in the show. The book puts in full perspective.

Generational cycles are so interesting. Kris's grandmother married multiple times and valued beauty, kris's mother married multiple times and used her beauty in exchange for financial security even if it meant being in an abusive relationship and exposing your kids to it, Kris used beauty and youth as a way to ensure she would be with an older man as a way of self affirmation and financial security, and Kim was young when she got married to her first husband who was also abusive and has since been married multiple times.......... Generational cycles affect every type of family and it's crazy how difficult it is to break out of it and if you do, you also set off another chain of a future generational cycle (hopefully for the better though).

And you can see it in the others too. Khloe’s insecurities because of how different she looks from the rest…almost all of them drastically changed their looks, but with Khloe, it’s the most dramatic. And the way Khloe and Kourtney chose to conduct their romantic lives too. I didn’t realize Kris and Caitlyn had married so soon after meeting…the first thing I thought of was “so, that explains why Khloe felt right marrying Lamar.” And the pressure she later felt to stick by him until he was at least physically stable, and the toxicity of her relationships since all are indicative of the pattern in previous generations too. And it also explains why Kourtney was so reluctant to marry Scott (and seemed to take the longest to consider marriage overall), even if she was happy to have kids with him, because while he seems like a decent father, he wasn’t a good partner for her in the long run. To be fair, she did seem to have a whirlwind romance with Travis as well, but compared to what she had before? It’s no contest.

Kourtney is the oldest and she still holds grudges against Kris, because she remembers everything better than her younger siblings. Can't blame her. I mean, all the Kardashian-Jenner kids are terribly rude to their mother which is inexcusable but I understand where Kourtney comes from.

Kris had Khloe because she got pregnant from her hairdresser Alex in the 80s. Every time she looked at that little girl she was reminded of her infidelity. Her mistakes, cheating, cheating on Robert. Khloe was proof. Even though she tried to explain it as Khloe looking like blonde relatives, Khloe is white and the other 3 kids are Armenian.

You can tell Roberts passing effected Kourtney and Rob more so the Kim and Khole. Well everyone believes Khole isn’t a Kardashian. Khole had that weird relationship with Rob that creeped me out and you could tell it creeped him out too.

Kris does seem diabolical, true that. But, I grew up pretty too. I have had modeling offers, I did an online commercial, etc. But, I didn't take full advantage of my beauty. I kinda stayed in the $40,000 and under category---regarding men. Looking back, I would rather deal with men and all their crap and be in middle class or upper class...as opposed to dealing with it while poor.
@TheDawnofVanlife
@TheDawnofVanlife Жыл бұрын
@@mariecampbell3373 How do you control your cost category of men? Shouldn’t it just be meeting the right person and less avoiding a certain wage bracket. Is there some quiz you do before dating? 😂 i would say even doing such a thing is pretty privilege. Pretty privilege is mostly an unintentional thing. You get it because you are pretty, while it can be weaponized it mostly doesn’t have to be … it’s a societal default like a very attractive person might have goodness assumed about them because people associate attractiveness with goodness and uglyness with badness (thanks for enforcing this movies!). You almost have to do something to prove the opposite based on your initial attractiveness quotient. That’s one of many defaults to pretty privilege. Moderately attractive women can use being female as a manipulation if they want to. Even women who aren’t conventionally attractive can use that of they want to. I don’t think there’s anything special about pretty privilege when used as an actual tool, because of the way using being female bodied works almost anyone female bodied who is particularly focused on that can find a means of using being female bodied as just a tool to get ahead. It’s a manipulation tactic, not pretty privilege.

How did she make those things about herself in those interview clips? I didn’t notice that. It didn’t come off to me that way at all. She was asked about those things so she answered. Like in the clip explaining how her kids dealt with their fathers death she just briefly went over how each child took it and the affects it had on them and only at the end said how she is the type to keep busy after hard times like that. Also when talking about Nicole’s death she just described how she found out about it and said that her and her other friends felt like they had failed Nicole. I’m not trying to defend Kris I’m genuinely curious because maybe I completely missed how she made everything about herself.

She sadly learned from her mother. She doesn't care who her kids are with as long as they get money. Her perception is skewed. Interesting she apparently always knew Bruce didn't want to be a man. It shows what we see as reality isn't reality. Bruce always seemed so masculine. It's strange how he acts now. Why say 'her' when it was Bruce at the time? And even if Kris tried to stop him seeing his kids, he has a choice. They say she's narcissistic and loves attention. Did Kim learn that from her? Kourtney doesn't seem to be like that. The friends who left her when she divorced Robert and then came back after seem like users. Why did they only come back when she was in the spotlight ?

I think he did. He got married again and I read that he left wife2 everything. The only thing in his will toward his kids with -h0e- Kris was a fund to pay for their college education. By the time he passed, only Kourtney had graduated from college so in the article I read, it said that basically that was it, he left the rest nothing because he wanted to instill a work ethic into them. I wonder if there also wasn't some bitterness when all was said and done. Honestly, I find it hilarious but at the same time, he must be rolling in his grave to know what his girls have become because of her. Spitting image and seemingly same behavior.

So true. I never understood Kris, money above all else and how she'd do anything for it. But seeing how she learned from her mother and grandmother and how they married multiple times etc, just like her and Kim. It makes sense. She was drawn to older men with money and her family didn't care yet she was also independent, choosing being an air hostess over Rob at first. He was too old. She cheated but didn't he leave her before they got married too? Kourtney always seemed the angriest with her mother, apparently as she was the oldest and saw everything. She said I'd never do to my kids what you did to us. Kris saying you have a Todd too. Kourtney no, I'm not married. I'm not cheating. Kourtney must have been scared of marriage and also didn't think she should marry Scott. She was the last to marry. She must love Travis. Even trying to have another child with him. Like her mother. They are all similar. Multiple children and marriages. Their choices in men. They go where they get the money. Like Kris was taught. Like ignoring Kylie being with Tiger or Travis.

Funny, they're not really kardashians. Kris divorced Rob, Kim and Kourtney are married, Khloe was. Rob is barely on the show and only his child, Dream is Kardashian by name. The others by blood. Like someone said, Chyna would have been the (only) Kardashian woman and the sisters were threatened by that. She may have been smart to play that game. The true Kardashian. Interesting how the show was the Kardashians but only some of the kids were and Kris wasn't at that time. The Jenners sound boring?

I was struck by how ingrained the whole thing with marrying a man of status was in Kris by previous generations in her family. Despite the Kardashians engaging with and sometimes engineering modern trends, it strikes me how old fashioned their values when you boil it down to its core. It almost feels like they and the Duggars come from a similar place, despite preaching different messages. Ultimately, both systems are rooted in the patriarchy and they just pick and choose what works for them/their family.

True but I think Kris takes more of a matriarchal role and her mother and grandmother, yea they “used” men but in the end they were calling the shots, and unlike the Duggars they have the freedom to be themselves and don’t put up with a man’s bs unless is convinced to them.

She is completely shallow. She's not sad about the divorce, she’s just sad she lost the glamorous life that came with the marriage. That rendition of “I love LA” is so cringe. She loves her friends. She does not love her friends, she just loves the connections she receives. Those K’s she named her daughters shows she's a narcissistic mom. Most narcissistic parents view their children as an extension of themselves. That’s probably because the daughters are named with a K.

If O.J. had given Kris a second look, she would have bedded him immediately, like she did everyone (I'm surprised you didn't mention her hairdresser, who is clearly Khloe's father) How cruel of her to brand Kim "the beautiful one" from birth. 💯💯💯 It's been said so many times in so many places over the years that she was allegedly sleeping with OJ. I don't think she cares about anyone unless they can do something for her and I agree, it appeared to me that she didn't seem to care about what was happening with Nicole. It's either one way or the other - either she really was her friend and ignored the obvious signs of ab*se, or she wasn't close to her at all but after she was unalived, wanted to use it as a way to be in the spotlight. Either choice still shows what trash she is.

I felt for Kris a tiny bit during her up bringing, but it seems her mom taught her well in the art of gold digging. These people are absolutely sick. I feel bad for the kids having to grow up around someone like this, they will never ever know true happiness and that is by far the true tragedy. Kris is a terrible person who only thinks about herself, she has influenced her kids to be absolutely fake. Plastic face, plastic soul. Her and her kids have mislead a whole generation of girls thru that stupid reality tv show and their brand deals into thinking money is everything, only care about yourself, and plastic is good, treating people like crap is ok. That's what we all have to live with now. They are not the problem, but they are a huge part of it. In no way do I support this family and what they stand for. And it breaks my heart how shallow, non self aware, and just childish this family is. I would rather live on the street than live how these folks live.

She and I were of an age; back in the day, I wanted college, my grandma wanted me to marry an adult and my father was sure I'd never succeed as a professional or intellectual. I was young enough that I didn't know really how young I was but I was mad for an adult man who suited me as much as I suited him. And that began my life. I recognise her life and times.

These people are absolutely fascinating to learning about, to me it's the same as watching a true crime documentary about psychopaths, not that I am saying Kris or her Mom are psychopath but the sociopathy of this family is soo interesting. These types of people that watch and learn and place themselves in certain social circles in order to gain wealth and climb the ladder to get where and what they want is just fascinating. I just fly by the seat of my pants and have trouble planning a picnic lol she and the family are great at strategically marketing themselves, weather it's husband's when your 16, porns when your a young adult or TMZ photo calls they do work. Reminds me of Megan Markle strategically making friends with certain people, that would just never cross my mind like you need to intentionally make this person a friend idk I guess I have never been around that kind of wealth either but I don't think I would if a friend ship happens organically great then it's set but to strategies in such a way fascinating how some personality types just naturally do that with others like they are always playing chess.

I haven’t watched this yet, but as I’ve told you a few times in the past girl, you’ve really come along and are really producing some well-researched, well-produced documentaries. I love these deep dives and whilst I cannot comment on this video in particular, like I told you on one of your Duggar videos, keep up the good work - from a professional standpoint, you’re really developing and beginning to find a good voice and it’s showing ❤️❤️ Edited to say that I’m happy to see each time I watch (or re-watch or recommend or make my husband watch) one of your videos, your sub count is continually going up, but to me, not fast enough and not high enough for what you do, considering some of the stuff on KZbin, you’re far above a lot of it! I love that you’ve taken the time, even with the 20K+ subs you have, to thank and interact with your commenters. It makes us feel more connected to you and that you both appreciate your viewership and understand that we like to know you see us and hear us and take feedback into account. I find you both humble and sweet, two very lovely qualities that are rare on this platform. Never change and always keep interacting with us! ❤️😊 I’ve barely started my own channel - I’m just learning the editing software and would love to know what you use, because I’m in the dark and have no clue - if you could let me know that would be fantastic, but I know a lot of hard work and blood/sweat and tears go into this ❤️❤️

Aww you are too kind and sweet. Firstly, thank you for supporting my channel and always encouraging me with your feedback and compliments!! I am so grateful. I try in my own lane and create content that aligns with who I am so trust me I will never change. I have to cultivate things in a way where I sleep at night, I would never degrade myself for views and toxicity. No thank you! I’m looking at this like a marathon not a race so I trust that in time the numbers will reflect the hard work (fingers crossed 🤣🤣) Congratulations on starting your channel!! It can be so nerve wrecking but you can do it!! For editing software, I use Final Cut Pro, I typically like to keep my edits clean and simple and focus more on the research and information of the story. But to each it’s own edit how you and what works best for you!! I currently use the Blue Yeti as a mic and edit audio in the final cut program but I am about to upgrade to the Shure mic, I love the quality of it. If you need any help or have any questions please feel free to email me at betheecommentator@gmail.com!! What kind of content will you be creating on your channel?? 🥰😊

Deadname? What are these new terms?
@itsaballoonparty
@itsaballoonparty Жыл бұрын
@@JessicaRodriguez-zy5gz oh, “deadname” refers to the name a trans individual was given at birth, which they have since replaced. The phrase “deadname” is often used to specifically indicate a negative relationship with that old name (in Caitlyn’s case, I believe she specifically asked reporters not to use her birth name because it makes her uncomfortable. But in general it is unethical to use the old name of a trans person when reporting, regardless of their personal feelings towards the old name.) For example, if a trans girl was given the name “Brad” by her parents, and then she transitions and changes her name to “Britney”, “Brad” is her deadname.

The KZbin algorithm gods blessed me with your channel and I’m quite grateful. I really appreciate the obvious effort and historian work, not sensationalized. I found myself a bit surprised by Chris’s willingness to own her mistakes. Sure, not hard to see the narcissism and rather shallow character, but she seemed candid about her mistakes and (materialistic) goals…. Edited to add that as I watch this, Crazy to hear Kris’s obvious lie that she had no idea Nicole was suffering any sort of abuse after admitting later on in life that Nicole had been beaten up after their New York trip

Another amazing video BV. And to think I nearly passed it by because I was so tired last night, but in the end I couldn’t get enough I watched it till it ended. I thought I knew a lot about the Kardashians but all this backstory was truly amazing. I always thought Chris was a selfish self-centred vapid superficial person. But this take on her truly shows me how money hungry selfish self assessed and basically what a golddigger she was from the age of 17. No wonder Kim is the way she is. And no wonder Courtney has a lot of resentment and animosity to her mother. I can’t wait to see episode two brilliant.

You know I don’t like the Kardashians because of narcissism but it changes your perspective when you learn it’s generation programming. You may not awaken immediately. For instance I grew up in a narcissistic family but decided not to be like this. She literally lets her mom control her in which I refuse to let my mom do. Everyone learns at a different pace. And I feel bad for her but again it’s a choice. Great video on the psychology maybe another person can learn from this.
