Rita was so nice and you were so respectful and caring and it was a good time. We took you guys back to the King of the Road Hotel. What a memorable evening. Never will forget it. I love Kristofferson. He is a wordsmith extraordinaire. He also has always been so humble like he can't believe his good fortune to be as popular as he is and receive all the alcolades that have come his way. I stood in line in 2014 after a concert in Fort Worth and hot his autograph. Even as an old man, he still has sex appeal and he gave autographs to all of us who waited. And it was his birthday. Amazingly humble. I've been a fan since the early 70s and will remain a fan until I'm gone.

I loved Ralph Emery....grew up with him and his show in the 70's. I've loved Kris as far back as I can remember, and expect that everyone who appreciates lyrics, and honesty, should be missing him. I also loved Keith Whitley. Came to know his music in the mid- to late-80's, when I was stationed in Germany, and it hurt my heart when he died. But Lorrie Morgan can kiss my ass.

One of the greatest songwriters of all time. I would have loved done some of his songs, even the one like Please Don’t Tell Me, How The Story Ends, that he Rita and Chris did together. I think the Full Moon Album, should be put on CD, and you could probably make a fortune selling Karaoke tracks, because it would get these songs back out there.

I remember the two of them in concert at my university. I was “working” the gig as a volunteer college nudnick. I was there when they arrived for sound check, and I recall Kris being dragged in by Rita and the entourage. Certain alcohol was demanded and a few guys went off to get it. Come showtime, Rita was a trouper. Billy Swan was the opening act and I know he did “I Can Help” more than once. Rita said Kris didn’t feel well, but those of us present for the sound check knew why he didn’t feel well. Kris came out to sing three songs, and the rest of the show was carried by Rita and Billy Swan. A very sad and pathetic gig by Kris.
