Thank you for sharing his story. Lyme disease is absolutely awful 😢 I know because it put me in a wheelchair for several years. My memory is going too. He was a kind man. I went through a huge mess with my healthcare and proper care .

My heart is still breaking by his passing~~I absolutely loved and adored this man~~A beautiful man with such talent~~So many great songs he wrote as well as being a great actor~~Especially in "A Star is Born"~~Barbra must be devastated~~They had the best chemistry in the movie~~The way he looked at her when singing "Evergreen" together was magical~~R.I.P. I'm a combat veteran. I am Ranger qualified. Yes there's a difference. My respect to the 75th. I served with the 82d Airborne Division. Kris had a standing offer to any Ranger. That they could come to his house and have a party with him. We were always invited. A good man. A celebrity who respected the military. God Speed

I was infected with Lyme disease in 1986. I was misdiagnosed for 27 years. I'm in late stage Lyme and have had Lyme for 38 years. The doctors are doing nothing to help me.

My fond memory of kris was getting to go horseback riding with him and Kenny Rogers when I was just a kid. Bob bradshaws canyon was next to ours. Nobody came up those red dirt roads then . There were no tourists ruining the Indian ruins in those years. Not with Wilma ,her daughters bobby and Sandy and me little kimmy jo. He made me smile and laugh when nobody else could. He asked kindly in his deep voice if they could travel into the canyon for a gander. I thought only my uncles say gander lol 😂he sensed I was a sad one so he went out of his way and made jokes and talking to my horse made me smile . He never knew he saved my life that day. I was a sad girl with health problems. He must have recognized that. What a wonderful memory. He’s famous to me for making me smile when I felt like giving up. For that reason he was my hero. Kenny Rogers was there to his eyes smiled when he did. But kris had a bigger smile and he radiated joy. So he won the battle of my smile. 😂❤we all had quite the chuckle about the battle of the smile 😊 ❤. So there’s a little something much bigger than any award. He earned a smile from my heart. That’s huge news in my opinion. The unknown ones are just as special.

Thank you or raising awareness of Lyme disease...it is still too often misdiagnosed often as a degenerative mental disorder eg dementia.Alzheimers..and the medication that is prescribed in my experience from patients is horrific so one has to be be 200 percent certain that one has the correct diagnosis.,..sadly not everyone was as lucky as Kris to have a wife to fight long and hard so he could be set free of the degenerative diagnosis as soon as possible...Many of the comments here refer to being misdiagnosed for a long as almost three decades so it is an important hot topic in medicine and a simple blood test will give you the diagnosis and treatment can be commenced straight away...of course the longer the misdiagnosis the more difficult it is so delay in diagnosis should nor must not happen...
