That’s because it was! I recorded the whole line as “HEY EVERYBODY!” I did similar things with a lot of the lines that would be interrupted with brackets - coming up with a full line first and then cutting it off to make the interruptions more jarring.

The voice actor here! I used a few audio effects to enhance everything, namely some distortion in everything, and a few lines being artificially sped up or slowed down to increase the uncanny feel. The laugh was sped up a bit, but for the most part it WAS actually a quick “machine gun” laugh I pulled off.

Props to the guy who dubbed Spamton here, not only does he capture that “80s salesman” voice pretty well, but the voices he uses for the pop ups differ enough for it to be clear he’s not doing that voluntarily...and the laaaaugh. My one complaint is that I think the garbage can punch isn't emphasized enough, in the game it made Kris jump back. And added to how it establishes Spamtons personality, he for real did that then tried going back to the deal like nothing happned

this is hands-down the best Spamton voice-over. absolutely nailed Spamton's speech and mannerisms. the glitchy laugh especially is PERFECT, and the pop-ups are exactly how i envisioned those text brackets. i'm honestly really not a fan of the people who voice Spamton like the Joker or something, like giving him "crazed" sounding over-the-top vocals and maniacal laughter. it just doesn't fit Spamton's personality and comes across as really overacted to the point of being cringey. Spamton is a SALESMAN. an often nonsensical one, sure, but still a salesman, and he's got the charisma and mannerisms of one. his creepiness isn't aggressive and in-your-face, it's more subdued, like you can just feel something isn't right and you don't know what to expect. he's not outright crazed, he's unsettling. and that's what so many other voice-overs on KZbin have gotten wrong. but what others got wrong, this VA got right. well done 👍 (not trying to insult any other Spamton VA's btw, i respect their interpretations, this is just my personal opinion)

Wait, he does his introduction _before_ he even notices Kris is standing there. That means that every time he wakes up he does this big introduction out of his dumpster. Somehow this fits the character perfectly, the thought of him popping out of his dumpster and introducing himself to no one every day

Absolutely love the animation and how I natural he feels. Same with the voice this is hands down the best one I’ve heard! My only recommendation is with the punch he did to the garbage. It feels too slow. Or there wasn’t enough wind up to it. Go watch it in the game and you’ll see what I mean, it felt a lot more powerful, as if he was about to make a big dent in the garbage just from punching it. Here it’s just punching the garbage, there’s no force in it.
