It makes sense to decrease the bridge when increasing the lens. Otherwise they would be even wider.

54mm are a big ass chunk of sunglass. I bought them a few years ago really spontaniously, at least I got a nice price (less than regular non-polarized price for polarized g15 black ones). After I took them home and looked in the mirror I realized how HUGE they wear on me. I kinda look like Michael Jackson with them on, my face gets tremendously slender and bony look and I REALLY hate it. So they just lay in a drawer for 5 years now and from time to time I think about selling them but I give it up when I remember how cheap I picked them up and they're f****** polarized, everything looks amazingly better through them. The end of story of my life.

I bought the 54mm folding wayfarers 2 pairs now and the lenses shake in the frame when not on, is this normal? Bought directly from Ray ban.

No that definitely doesn't sound normal, you mean the lenses actually shift around or they make a noise like they do?

Just picked up a pair of black & tan ones with my Rx. First time I've had prescription ones & even worn sunglasses in 10-15 years. Can you just make adjustments outside in this 110 degree heat? Mine are slipping from sweat slightly. I'm trying 1mm pads but they're making them a little tight

Hi! It's really not possible to get the material to the right temp outside like that without probably snapping them. I would either use a bit of hottish water in a bowl and do short dips of the temples into it ( maybe just 5-10 seconds at a time) and carefully adjust IF YOU'RE COMFORTABLE. But that's assuming you're sure they are the wayfarer( acetate) and not new wayfarer ( nylon). But I know you just got them and prob spent a lot of money and I *really, really* don't want to steer anyone wrong or help cause a bad adjustment. I have a video on how I adjust acetate in hot water if you want me to link it? If you're not sure I would definitely just take them to an optical place and most will do it for free.

@@KristenLB they are the New Wayfarer 2132. Probably will take them back for adjustment. Its almost a none issue, really the 3rd time wearing them & if it wasn't for heat/humidty they might not really be slipping that much.

I left this out. The Bausch&Lomb design are better quality, look better and are slightly bigger even though it says 54mm they seem bigger than that.

My head is about 3 times bigger than yours but the 54 mm pair cover my eyebrows fully. I’m trying to figure how is possible that your eyebrows are sticking out when wearing a 54 mm.

@@attilab.2818 no haha not that I'm sure, it's just the bridge is so narrow that they usually sit quite a bit higher than the 50mm size unless you pull them down a bit. I worked that out the second time I bought them :)

@@LyeSlater Well the thing I realized recently is that they've upped their prices a fair bit AND worldwide shipping no longer appears to be free. It's $49. That dissuaded me when I was going for another pair. I live in Alabama and no customs fees either time I've ordered but I wouldn't know for sure with their new shipping costs and policies so I don't know what to tell you :/

No disrespect but these are not the original Wayfarer. The original Wayfarer were made by Bausch&Lomb in the USA. The New ones are made in Italy by Luxottica.

They’re not literally the original model. The luxottica model (RB2140) that she’s wearing is called the ‘Original Wayfarer’ hence the title.
