Hi everyone! Just a short video showing you what the RB 2140-F or the Asian Fit Wayfarer looks like and what the main differences are. I also try them on, of course, so you get an idea of what the slight size difference makes them look like.

Thank you Christin for this review. I love original wayfarer but being Asian, they never worked for me. They rest uncomfortably on my cheeks. Thru your video, i found out that they made a fit for Asian face. I jumped with excitement. Thanks very much for this video.

Something to note. Even if you do get the 2142F (or 2132F) and they don't sit on your cheeks..they can still slide...IF you get the New Wayferer 2132F because the surface is smooth. If we sweat or move around a little briskly..they shades will still slide. Odd they didn't offer a matte finish with the 2132F (and non F). Which would have prevented slippage...or add the "sticky rubber" material on the nose pads (as Oakley offers...I'm sure Ray-Ban can find another supplier of the same material). Love the premium feel of Wayferers. If only they could have done something to prevent slippage. Which doesn't happen a lot but can. e.g. walk dog and look down a lot.

If you want to wear comfortable wayfarers, try the wayfarers ease, they sit on the nose and not on the cheeks

As you also mentioned..."Asian Fit" shades don't need to be only for Asian people. As people of other races have similar face shapes. I think you do asl well (hope you don't actually feel offended...shouldn't). The build quality looks a lot better than Oakley's which are mostly made of plastic. Do feel cheap. I just received my Holbrooks (Asian Fit). Considering the New Wayferer 58mm. Looks to be of much better build quality and $40 cheaper. Oakley Canada messed up my "custom" order and put in the wrong lens (Tungsten vs "Prizm Road"--redish/purple viewed from the front of lens). Works out better as I was planning to get a pair with Tungsten lenses later any how. More neutral looking..bronze tint. I don't think we really want lenses with a redish, too orange a tint)...

Hi Kristen. Are these any wider than the regular 2140? I imagine they are because of the 52mm lenses? The 50mm look small on me and the temples curve outwards. The 54mm look way too big on me as well.

Hi! Yes I would say they are a *little* wider, but not loose, like the 54 almost always are unless you have a really wide head/face. The good thing is the 52mm alternative fit seems to have more consistent manufacturing so all the pairs/ colors I’ve tried of them has been nearly the same. Hope that helps!

Hi Kristen, thanks for your review on this model I was really curious about the asian fit as a lot of sunglasses slip down for me even though I'm not asian. I feel you on the sunglasses obsession! I have some of the same models as you. I also have a similar face size and shape. You mentioned that you aren't so fond of the slant of the the wayfarers. I suggest that you look at the folding wayfarers. They don't slant at all and the lenses appear bigger because of this. I have the 54mm in a couple of different colours but I also love the 50mm. +Niamh Miller I love the folding!! I just choose to keep them in a regular case because it makes me feel like they'll last longer if I don't fold them down every time :) I'm just picky and weird, haha! I also really want the 54 in the folding.. I think they wouldn't be so overwhelming. Sorry I missed this comment somehow! Thanks for the kind words, my accent is too thick for my own liking :)

Manuel Trim the f just means that it is Asian fit and has thicker bridge pads.

It shouldn't! I liked the way it stayed on my nose better when I had the asian pair in the video :) It shouldn't be very different. Let me know how it works out! can you return if it didn't?

They are the bigger one 54and not the standard size 52. It’s big on you. Try the 52/22/150 and it will look good on you. IMHO..

@@KristenLB ah okay. You have small face that's why. I have the RB2140F - 1241W0/2P and love it. Use it on top of my reading glass to work (in front of two monitors) and it help with the eye fatigue (reduces)

+Jamie Sy just a little, yes. The lens width isn't the issue itself, it's the fact that ( maybe just the pair I got) the temples were molded kind of wide..

Jamie Sy, if you choose 50mm classic and if its tight for you, id suggest you try this 52mm asian fit, and if its kinda loose a little bit on you atleast you can adjust the temple by using warm water or hair blower for tightening ...

Jamie Sy: You may want to consider the New Wayfarer RB2132F Asian Fit in 52mm. Sounds like you have a smaller to medium sized head which would be a good fit for this one.

@@rajasohal5454 2140A is the older version of "asian fit"; 2140F came out in 2013. The 2140F is an updated version with even less angle between the lens rim and the temples (15 degrees for the 2140F VS 20 degrees for 2140A VS 25 degrees on the 2140), also the nose padding of 2140F is made even more prominent than the 2140A
