In this poetry a believer complain to Allah which is shikwa part ( shikwa means complain ) and then Allah reply which is jawab e shikwa ( jawab e shikwa means answer to complains ) When Allama iqbal iqbal write shikwa so others islamic scholer gave fitwa about him that he was being thankless to Allah . Because such complains is not allowed in islam so after then he wrote jawab e shikwa which is answered to these complaints

Guys, Firstly you gave reaction only on music not on poetry, so its also required to understand the Kalaam. Ye Urdu and Persian ka mix hay, Ye Allama Iqbal jo k Pakistan k national poet hein , Unh ka Kalaam hay. First Part was Shikwa, Shikwa means kisi say complain kerna, Iqbal was complaining to Allah that if we Muslims take your name and you are not blessing us, and Jawab-e-shikwa is the part in Qawali which he narrated on behalf of Allah's message which means, Muslims are not one who only take my name and do nothing , Muslims are not one who don't feel the pain of other people, He said that The one who Love me and My Prophet ( P.B.U.H ) MUST BE the man of logic and that person who believe in me must believe that I love the person who take care of my creation (means nature, humans, animals , everything on earth) and he said that the one who believe in me truly never hurt other person, he Said the true practicing muslim deserves the Janat, and true practicing Muslim is one who use his mind as his chief and use his brain before acting ,He must takecare of everyone despite of his/her religion and color and wealth. Allah love his every creation despite of that who take name of other Lords , he never stop feeding them because he love them too and he hope that they will use their mind to search him and never stay back idle , The true man who search for Allah finally finds him and this is the reason of sending us here to know the reason why we are here who created us. Basically, Its all ABOUT showing the Muslims the mirror that What they are doing today by making money and not helping others is not the True Muslim, True Muslim is one who behaves like Allah want them to behave not what they want. True Muslim knows the meaning of Sacrifice , it does not matter either its sacrifice of his wealth for poor , or sacrifice of his blood for truth, sacrifice of his body strength for helping weak... it can be any type of help and sacrifice. I hope now it helps you to understand the depth of the Kalaam. thats why its known as Kalaam and not as poem. Kalaam means meaningful message.

These are two very famous poetries of Allama Iqbal the first one is shikwa which Natasha baig sang in this Allama Iqbal was complaining about the downfall of the muslims after the poetry was published many called him 'kafir'and he had to face alot but after 2 years he published part 2 of shikwa , jawab e shikwa means answer to the complain in which he gave answer to his own complain keeping in mind the quran and the hadees after this poetry was published people started loving him and called him walli ullah.

Actually its poem written by Allama Muhammad Iqbal, He was complaining from Allah in “Shikwa”, after that most of the people was very angry to him so in “Jawab-e-shikwa” he answer all of his complaints in it... So the song is based on it....
