Southern Death Cult

The Cult, as most of you know them, are nothing like what you're about to see. Before they were/are who they are, they were Southern Death Cult, post-punk goth in Britain. It's not just fabulous hair and good looks, it's the diversity and style, unique as their own.THIS is why I love them. Such transitions, and still manage to keep rocking 40 years later. That, is longevity. That is transcendent. Timeless. Some ppl I know (mostly women) will be shattered, and some of you will see past that fabulous hair, right into the soul of what makes them great. Respect.

SDC are a different band. The only connection with the Cult is Ian. Neither Billy, Jamie or Matt were in SDC. I do appreciate where you are coming from though where diversity is concerned. Ian is the true connection, the key, between all of them. Billy too of course. They are better than ever, Ian's voice as powerful as ever and Billy's guitar playing as strong as ever. Still powerful, still authentic 40 years later ❤ and yes this is exactly why I still love them 32 years on. Especially Ian ❤😍😊 EARTHSOULROCKANDROLL ❤🖤👌🖤❤ CFFC

bands that play only one style of music are far too common. David bowie, played a lot of different styles, maybe not super different. but having a specific sound is cool and all, but if you cannot play other styles of music you put yourself in a box and put on an image of that box you set yourself in. "im a metalhead" or "im a rapper" people with musical talent, yet unable to play or at least, perform other styles of music. Music is expression, and it is okay for all of your songs to sound different, if you have only one style or musical taste, that is more of obsession. Also record companies maybe. idk. play what you want guys do not lock yourself in a box all the time. maybe for an album or two, but you can change it up, you can play what you like. What are some artist with different styles of music that are multi genre? Should we even have genre's? is it normal for us to put on the face and image and play the same style over and over? Even if that is what we are good at doing?

I agree. Diversity is good. Some people are stuck in the same place and they're comfortable that way I suppose.
