This is version 5 of the RC Tarmo project. This car is the most refined yet, I wasn't really going for crazy performance or crazy features, I was going for something stable that should provide a more consistent experience.

Still learning the ropes with my 3D Printer but I'm gonna tackle this project pretty soon as an "the first big one". Next step will be sourcing some parts as some arent that readily avaible here. Really looking forward to the learning experience. Thanks for the project and the resources!

I just got a 3d printer for the holidays and I think I just found my new hobby! I come from a software engineering background so I'm glad I can walk on the trail blazers marked by engineers like yourself :) Keep it up! I love this new design and can't wait to try it out myself.

Thanks much for putting this out there. I was in to RC tricopters and airplanes heavy for a few years, but never had a "real" RC car. I am literally printing out parts for the Tarmo 5 as I write this. Cannot wait to get this going!

Found the link for the version 4 video on my google drive files while I was cleaning some old stuff. Glad I found it today, not 5 months ago xD Been following since the first version, and it was awesome to see the project progress so far. One day I'll get my 3d printer and will be able to try it myself >:)

It would be awesome if Tarmo6 had AWD but with separate front and rear motors. :D Not practical, but awesome.

Funny to see my trophy truck in your subreddit :) The biggest problem with RWD is the poor breaking.

Ah yes I forgot about that. It can also spin out on hard breaking which is annoying

So cool, how about adding a second motor to the front for 4 wheel drive? How bad would the sync issues be? Would be fun to try anyway. Thank you for sharing!

I am unfamiliar with OnShape. I use fusion360 and solidworks. Tried your link, but could make heads or tails out of it. I love the design, but I like a bigger version to fit my 6" tires, and other parts I already have. Scaling up STL doesn't work as it scales up holes and other features. STEP files of the entire assembly and individual parts would be accessible by everyone.

Why not 4 wheel drive with 2 motors? Do some synching of the front and rear motors, and maybe allow varying the drive ratio so that you can have a dig function.... I like your philosophy and its embodiment.
