I don't know where these crickets originally came from but I get mine from Mexico. We call them "chapolines." My family over there makes them and they do have a spicy lemon taste to them. They also make Tajin from crushed worms that forms into this salty spicy powder . They're both delicious.

Chapulínes are delicious! Reminds me of my pueblito Santa Ana del Valle in Oaxaca, Mexico. Just add queso fresco, avocado, salsa, and lime on a tortilla and that's lunch :3 Don't knock it until you try it
