Hi Kristen. I really enjoy that makeover video of the bathroom and was just wondering..How are those tiles holding up? Do they hold up good with humid from the bathroom? How are they suppose to be cleaned? A not so wet mop? Have they shade on color or form? Sorry didn't mean for all the questions but I looking for alternatives to upgrade my bathroom for less. Thanks for sharing. God bless you. Stay safe.

I rent an apartment so these are great suggestions for me. Wondering tho, if you had the stick on items up for a couple years let's say, how do we know it's not gonna damage what's underneath? Or become a sticky gluey mess nearly impossible to get off. That's been my only worry about these. Thanks for all you share with us! So inspiring and motivating.

For sure! My hubby and I just bought our first home and I'm definitely looking for cheap ways to upgrade it until we can afford an actual reno. I currently looking at brown walls, brown carpet, brown kitchen and bathroom tile floors and backsplashes, dark wood cabinets and brown counter tops. It's killing me a little bit to look at all that brown all the time.

These are wonderful ideas as long as people realize that some peel and stick products leave a sticky residue that can be difficult to remove because it does leave a gluey residue behind in some cases.

The floor pops especially. If you look at the company's site, they say they are not removable without damaging the floor underneath. I'm curious to see someone take them up to see whether the company maybe just doesn't want to be liable for false advertising if they happen to damage someone's floor.

Thank you for this video, 99% of the “rental decorating hack” videos literally just say “paint your walls, ask if you can change the floors” yeah sorry hun, most rental spaces want 0% changes to their old style property. What’s good about this is not only are you covering the 70’s brown that’s in so many properties but it protects the surfaces so you leave the house in the exact same condition as when you arrived a+++

Just a note...with the window coverings, just know that when it's dark and your bathroom light is on...people can still see in your window...we lived with my in-laws for a bit, they had a shower window that was big and right in the middle of the shower and it was actual frosted glass...we walked outside at night and could totally see my in-laws showering...you can't see details but definitely could tell they were nude...😬 So make sure you check that out before parading around that window in the nude, at night with the lights on!

Girl, I cannot thank you enough!! I desperately want to upgrade my camper but need it to not add weight! THANK YOU!! Even the lightest of wood and tile plus wood/ vinyl flooring adds weight (pick up a box of vinyl flooring! Yikes!) Plus I need some walls and floor sections replaced so I'm going, cosmetics/ aesthetics or repairs? I know I NEED the repairs asap but don't want to wait on the look I want while a save up! I can probably spend $200 (which won't go far on repairs so, who cares?) on this and update my kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and floors!! I just removed my carpet last week. These are great ideas. I'm a home owner, but I still do peel and stick because I like to switch things up a bit. I do find that the wall peel and stick does not stay on very well for me. I learned prepping the walls first is very important. Also high humidity can make it not adhere well. I love your bathroom. Great job!

I did a peel stick from Target and the humidity had it peeling at the edges. I loved it but found I was putting thumb tacks to keep it up in my pantry.

I did a backsplash and the tiles behind the stove kept falling out because of the humidity until we put construction adhesive behind which kind of defeated the purpose of peel and stick, removeability, we weren't renters, just poor.

what would concern me about the beautiful tiles in the bathroom is stepping on them when your wet and water getting in between the cracks of the tiles lifting them too soon.

I put a few coats of clear liquid floor wax on mine.. It gives the floor a mirror shine & also protect that thin vinyl coating from scuff marks...It also seeps between the cracks also creating a barrier against water puddles... May I suggest you use a towel mat when you bathe, if you step in puddled water as you seem to be implying... You could eventually slip & fall..🤕 A towel mat is a very thick towel that is very absorbent... It’s short & is as flexible as a towel that fits snuggly on the side of the bath when not in use..By the time you get off, your feet are dry. Hope this will dissolve your worries! 😉

Mellsy M I did a granite looking contact paper in the kitchen of an apartment I lived in a few years back, it lasted about a year and a half with me and my roommate. I was shocked how well it held up. There were a few little gashes on the edges of the counter, but still better looking then the blue laminate countertops underneath. I

Use WD40 to remove stickiness. I use it on lots of sticky things, that stuff is great! A bit stinky at first, but you can pull up the tiles, spray the WD40 and leave the room for awhile to let it do its thing.

Use caution with the floor tiles and sticky wallpaper. After two years I tried to remove these and the glue became like cement through out the floor, the wallpaper took big strips of paint off the wall. I didn't get my deposit back, and had to pay 1,200 to replace the floor.
