Are you happy using the enan in harsh weather? I have a keron for the winter, but thinking of getting a new solotent.
@KristianPletten3 жыл бұрын
Keron is a great tent! I absolutely love the Enan, but I can't say I've used it a lot in harsh weather. It's designed as a lightweight tent, and since it's in the Yellow Label-category Hilleberg says it's intended for use in warmer climates, in snow-free conditions and in more protected areas. To get it this lightweight they've used lighter materials, made it small, and also made certain design decisions that favor weight over ruggedness. Where the Akto has a square box in each end, the Enan has a triangle. This saves weight, but it also increased the chance of the outer tent touching the inner tent if the tent is used in conditions outside Hillebergs recommendations, for example in snowy or windy conditions. I have used the tent in snowy conditions and windy conditions, and it while it has performed better than expected it's not a perfect solution. For those situations I have a Hilleberg Staika. But for use in spring, summer and fall it's a great tent, although not as reliable in a storm/harsh weather as your Keron.

You do photography professional right? Amazing nature and great footage and cutting!
@KristianPletten2 жыл бұрын
Vielen Dank! Yes, that's correct. I've been working as a photographer for about ten years now. I work with businesses in all categories, so when I make hiking films I can use some of my work experience, and making these films have taught me a whole lot more about certain aspects of filmmaking, especially regarding audio, which I benefit from in my professional work.

Beautiful and very relaxing, Kristian. I will make it to Norway one day for some hiking. Greetings from south island NZ
@KristianPletten3 жыл бұрын
Thank you Greg! I think you would enjoy hiking around here, because it's strangely similar to some places in NZ. For example the fjords in NZ look quite similar to the fjords on the west coast of Norway. I visited New Zealand about 12 years ago, and I wish I hiked more of it, because looking at some of your videos the scenery is really stunning. Let me know if you need any travel tips for Norway!
@GregEdwardss3 жыл бұрын
@@KristianPlettenNZ and Norway share many similarities! Here in the south island it's very easy to access remote areas by yourself. You can spend days without seeing anyone. I'm guessing that is similar to the northern areas of Norway

@@GregEdwardss Sounds wonderful! I hope I get a chance to come back one day. And yes, that is true, especially if you are further inland.

I have an Akto, it's a great tent as are all Hilleberg products.
@KristianPletten3 жыл бұрын
Indeed. I've heard great things about the Akto. Can probably handle a lot more weather than the Enan.

Looking forward to see how you adapt to the winter, these next months. Good luck out there, and keep'em coming! 🙌 Hiking pants from Mammut, but model?
@KristianPletten4 жыл бұрын
It'll be a challenge, that's for sure! They are called "Nordwand HS Flex Pants". A bit noisy due to the GoreTex, but otherwise they seem like decent rain pants.

@@KristianPletten wow that looks great ! What about ipb compared to All-i ? Did you face any overheating issues??
@KristianPletten4 жыл бұрын
I haven't had any overheating issues, perhaps due to the climate here in northern Norway, so I've had it in the 4K HQ settings since I got it. The 4K HQ is only All-I, which means I haven't tested the IBP-setting unfortunately.
