Hi Kristie - really cute cards! Hey, I have a challenge for you….I’d love to see you apply your techniques & sketches to make a set of larger cards (A6 or A7). Everyone is happy to receive a handmade card of ANY size; particularly when it’s been donated like you usually do. But, when I make cards for family & friends, I always want a larger card so it’s not the “little handmade card” on the shelf amongst all the BIG store bought cards. And since MANY of the sketches you use have smaller pieces to make up the card; 6x6 pads could still be used for even the much bigger A7 size since one of the dimensions is 5”. I’d LOVE to see the card making industry embrace making larger cards more often & would love to see what you could do with this idea!!

J Zippel Thank you! I appreciate your kind words. I don’t think I’ve ever made cards larger than A2 size. All of my card bases and envelopes are A2 size. I do understand about wanting a larger size card to compare with the standard store bought sizes. But most card recipients I’ve given cards to actually enjoy the “little handmade card” far more than the store bought cards. Most stamp sets are sized for the smaller card size as well. I will give some thought to trying a larger size though. 🙂

LOL, most of the time this video is on PAUSE so I can craft along with you but change it up slightly. I've had card block lately! My daughter is allergic to corn.. including corn syrup. That stuff is in everything, just as sugar is. I can understand your struggles with an allergy to common food items!

Another great group of cards. I have a question and a suggestion. My suggestion for those who are overwhelmed by an entire paper pad is to buy one and split it with a friend. Every pad has at least 2 sheets of each design, so it would divide easily. Did you say you use digital card stock for your card bases? Why would you print a solid color sheet when it would be much cheaper to buy it? Did I misunderstand?

jean massey Thank you! Splitting a 6x6 paper pad with a friend is a great idea for those overwhelmed with the idea of using the entire thing themselves. The paper I use for my card bases is called Accent Opaque Digital by International Paper. It’s just the name of the paper. It’s not actually a digital design I print. Not sure why they use the word digital. Definitely a bit confusing. 🙂
