I saw Wicked when it premiered in San Francisco before it went to broadway. She had hurt her neck and was wearing a neck brace but still performed. In the scene after the house falls on Nessa Rose and she fights with Elphaba, Elphaba is supposed to slap her. When Elphaba raises her hand to slap her, Kristen pointed to her neck brace and shook her head, and the audience went wild.

Kristin is HER! There is NO ONE like her. I saw her in Wicked and have seen her several times in concert and she always lifts my spirits and countenance. As an adopted child as well who has a rescue pet, I cannot wait to read her book. She is truly inspiring on SO many levels. Love you Kristen!

I'm glad Kristin is happy with the choice because I'm not. I love Kristin and Idina. I like Cynthia Erivo but can't stand Grande. However I'm willing to give her a chance. Recently Kristen Stewart was amazing as the Princess of Wales. That was a big surprise for me. On another note thank you Stephanie Grisham. @@imaginess9732 I don't think Grande is that talented of a singer. Yes she can sing but so can I. Neither of us are anything special. The other three women are proven actresses. I don't have much hope for Ariana in that department. She also isn't a natural beauty; it's all powder and paint. A much better choice would be Kristin's onscreen daughter Dove Cameron. She looks the part, is naturally pretty and can sing.

@@doody244 I personally think that you need to catch up with Ariana's singing, she has a powerful and delicate voice, she definitely has the range to play Glinda and not everyone can outsang her. It is true that Ariana hasn't had the opportunity to show her talent as an actress because all her characters have been very similar and I know she's putting a lot of effort to this new character, she's working with Nancy Banks an acting coach who has numerous A list and Oscar winning clients. I love Dove but she isn't naturally pretty, she has had a lot of work done starting only at 15, it doesn't even look natural anymore. I actually found Ariana really pretty and she's also like a daughter to Kristin Chenoweth, both have mentioned face timing each other constantly, going on double dates together, Kristin was her advisor on The Voice and Ariana is featured on Kristin's album. So I have a high hopes for this movie.

The same goes for Bernadette Peters, Angela Lansbury, Sutton Foster, Audra McDonald, Karen Olivo, Patti Lupone and many more. I just don't think Ariana has or will ever have what they do. I've been seeing Broadway since I was a young kid. Even though I'm a millennial I prefer the music of the Boomers/Gen X. I think Lupone describing Madonna summarizes up my feelings about Ariana. @alan z I guess I didn't realize how much work Dove had done so I stand corrected. Truth be told I didn't really follow her. I saw Descendents once while babysitting. She was also cute as a supporting role in Dumplin'. However I've never seen Dove in person and I have Ariana. Also I don't think people gush over how " amazingly beautiful" Dove is whether it's natural or not. Ariana people are always describing her as gorgeous and I just don't think its true. I'm curious are you a fan of Broadway? I think if you'd been attending shows regularly for close to 30 years like me you might understand my point a bit better.
