I met his father, kirk Douglas near Rockefeller in NYC. I had just gotten off from work at 49th St and 5th, walking with my beautiful friend and coworker towards 6th Ave on our way to catch the train and he stop me to ask for directions to the NBC Studios cause he thought he was lost. Yeah right. We were right in front of the building which I'm sure he had visited many times before so to this day I believe he just wanted to take a good look at my friend cause he would talk to me and as I answer him he would look more at her. Can't blame him though cause she was gorgeous althought she had no idea who he was. That was in 1985 so he must've been in his 70s while we were both in our mid 20s. May he RIP.

40 years ago I was a flight attendant, and was once fortunate to have Kirk Douglas on my flight. A long flight with few passengers, so he spoke with me at length. To this day I cherish the photo he allowed to be taken of the two of us. His son is spot on: from just a few hours of his presence, it was easy to see his father was an extraordinary man.

I was working at the LA Opera 30+ years ago and Mr. Kirk Douglas and his wife Anne were a patron. As soon you met him, you knew where Michael got his charm from. He was a delightful character, always introducing himself and bowing (before his stroke). Always paid a compliment, "Who is this pretty lady?" His poor wife was always hovering behind him, making sure he was on his best behavior.

Michael is still very handsome. This Ben Franklin project will be interesting. I really loved Mike in a few movies he did with Diane Keaton. Kathleen Turner is exceptional.
