Yes, I would like to see a head to head! I am definitely not above splurging for higher end, pricier hair products that will last... but I do like to find mid-range alternative products to swap out with! For example- with my makeup I use Anastasia of Beverly Hills Brow Dip Pomade and on casual days I use the NYX brow pencil in Taupe!

I decided to try the dry shampoo after watching this video and Kayley I just wanted to say THANK YOU! Julia Hildebrand I know this is a pretty late response, but you definitely don’t have to, if you wanna scrunch or tousle your hair then let it air dry it’ll still hold. It’s especially good if you wanna wet set your hair (braid it, twist it, roller it, whatever you want) so you don’t have to use heat

Question: how can I achieve the "partless" (I'm not sure if that's the right word) hairstyle that Kayley has? When I wear my hair down it parts and leaves a pretty straight, deft line that you can see my scalp through. How can I make it stay brushed back/ slightly tousled? Does the shampoo help with dandruff? I can't seem to get rid of it. I know it's not from product buildup because the only time I use product in my hair is hairspray at a dance show and I wash it out right away, and I think it's not from my scalp being dry

BeautyByAnnabelle girl I know this is late and I'm not sure if you've found what works for you.. or if you've just shaved all your hair off by now 😅 but you should try the curly girl method! It has changed my life lol! My hair used to be frizzy and wavy also and now after a few months of the curly girl method I have such beautiful moisturized curls I didn't even know my hair was capable of having! 😩💕 not sure of your hair type but DevaCurl and Shea Moisture's coconut & hibiscus line are my favorites ☺️

Should you not brush through your hair in the shower? I've been brushing my hair when the conditioner is in for ages! Is that why I get so much hair fall out?
@kayleymelissa8 жыл бұрын
Brushing your hair in the shower can break you hair more easily because it's delicate when it's wet. That could be the reason you see a lot of hair in your brush in the shower. It's not falling out at the root necessarily, but breaking somewhere on the hair. So yeah, maybe wait until after the shower and use a detangler first :)

I was really interested in these products after watching this video but I noticed they were getting some negative reviews because of high alcohol content. I don't know much about hair products, so I'm just wondering is it common for products like these to have alcohol in them? Is it really bad for your hair?
@kayleymelissa8 жыл бұрын
I saw that review on target. Honestly, I rolled my eyes a little. First, All volumizing and many aerosol products use alcohol with very little exception; this line did not make any kind of misstep for including it. I also never noticed a strong alcohol scent, just the light floral one. Second, I'm very dubious about her hair dresser's commentary on alcohol. For one not all alcohols are the same, some are fatty and moisturizing (btw these were the type of alcohols I saw most in the line). Additionally, the non fatty ones are used because they evaporate so quickly leaving behind minimal residue. Here's an article for reference: www.zaega.com/beauty-myth-alcohol-dries-out-and-damages-your-hair-and-your-skin.html I think a lot of use over time could cause some drying, but it's not significantly greater than hot tools or environmental stress. A deep shampoo and deep conditioner every now and then should help counteract any negatives. I think the ingredients in this line stack up to (some are better than) Redken and brands like it. I personally don't have a problem with using products with alcohols.
