Thank you for the swatches! The Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink and Vinyl Ink lippies are the most long-lasting formula I have found. If I don't use an oil-based makeup remover it'll still be there in the morning 😂

The lip lingerie xxl from Nyx is definitely my go-to option from the drugstore! I don't really do liquid lipsticks often anymore and much prefer just a matte lipstick crayon situation like the Nars matte lip crayon or powermatte lip, or something more whipped like the Nyx smooth whip (those are fantastic, definitely bought a bunch after seeing your lip swatches).

For a comfortable lipstick that I know will last through partying and drinking, the NYX XXL all the way! They don't last at all through eating but for my other purposes and how comfortable they are, it's my #1. The Maybelline Superstay Matte Ink I find a little uncomfortable because of how thick and tacky it is, takes a long time to fully dry, but it's the one that best holds up against *most* food. If I know I'm going to eat, I'll wear these.

I always find L'Oreal misses the mark with their neutral tones. They lean very pink or very light beige and you reacting to the light neutral colours was so relatable since I have a similar skin tone to you. PS can I just say I love your lip swatch review videos. They're the first thing I look for when I want a review of a lip product!

I love their box of chocolates shades but they are discontinued, I also like nyxs lingerie and suede matte collection they are also discontinued ALSO I loved some colours from Mac like fresh brew, kinkster and Yash THEY ARE DISCONTINUED TOO. all brands just make pinky nudes now while I want no pink hue on my brown lipsticks 😭

It's 2024 now and everyone is into lip oils and lip stains. I feel like I needed to circle back and take a look at this lipstick because it reminds me of Korean lip pigments in the way it performs (soft & matte, long lasting but not too drying) and this appears to be close. It doesn't seem as pillowy as Korean lip pigments but the color range seems pretty nice and fits medium to darker tan girls pretty well. Wish I could buy this locally, but will see about getting it online. Thank you for the review!

The formula of these are really good if you're looking for a completely matte resistant lipstick. Breakfast in Bed gives me concealer lips😢..I've found that when I mix it with Lazy Sunday, it gives the most beautiful shade! I guess you can mix it with other bright colours to make it work instead of tossing it out.

That's a great question and hard to answer for me 😂 Currently, my long-lasting glossy fave would be Maybelline Vinyl. Matte long-lasting would be a tie between L'Oreal Rouge Signature Matte Lip Stain and NYX Smooth Whips!

Ah thank you! I don't but I just used the Makeup by Mario master mattes palette to make the smokey wing and topped it with a little bit of eyeliner as well! I think the inner corner is also just from that same palette!

Ugh I hate this lipstick so much. L'Oreal products are so overly scented, never actually dry "matte" (their idea of matte is not as shiny as vinyl). Tacky, dark colours are patchy, feels gummy.... PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY and get something else!
