Hi Kristin, this is my thought on your office room. My advice is to keep the make up table the way it is because it kind of gives a little homey vibe to it because if you paint it white, in my opinion it will look too white, and probably add a small plant to add more color in the modern room. As for the blank space that you have behind the door, put prints framed in a glass frame with gold borders it is going to look chic, simple without putting away too much of the modern vibe you are looking for.
