I just wanted to add to sweet Kristin's disclaimer: Rape is not sex. If you have been sexually assaulted, that does not mean that you have "lost your virginity", or that you are no longer "pure". Sex is any sexual activity performed between consenting adults, so rape is not that. You are only having sex when it's on your own terms x

Everyone around me has had multiple relationships [both sexual and just for the sake of having of bf/gf] and I’m over here like, “nah I’m not about to put myself through all that drama and emotional pain with someone I don’t even think I will marry. I will wait for the man God has planned for me, even if it means staying single till I’m 30, thank you very much. Good thing is that since I’ve never had a relationship before I don’t really *desperately want* a partner as in “ omg, I can’t wait any longer” u know what I mean? Like since I’ve never really experienced having a bf or a serious relationship I don’t really feel like I am “missing out on life”. I wonder if it’s normal to ask friends if they are a virgin, ya know? Like it seems sex is such a normal thing to have as a teen already, that the question of asking if someone is a virgin seems like such a ridiculous question to them. Like “of course I’m not a virgin. I have been in relationships before so of course I did that kind of stuff.” Like I feel so weird and they act as if *i* am the one missing out on things and experience, that I am boring, because I have boundaries and do my best to make wise/careful choices/decisions. The weirdest part is they do believe in God and say they are Christian but still continue to do these things God clearly says is not good for our soul/spirit. Just very confusing cuz if I say anything about it then they automatically call me judgmental and use the phrase “well I’m not perfect” and that I am “too religious” when that is just basic bible knowledge that sex before marriage is a sin. But idk I’m just confused and I wish I had Christian friends or at least one Christian friend to talk to and who shared my morals. I just feel so alone in this. Everyone seems to be encouraging others to continue living this way and doing whatever the hell they want as long as they find pleasure and happiness in it, then it is no one else’s business

Getting raped doesn't mean you lost your virginity. Losing your virginity is a consensual thing, whereas rape is not. Not trying to start anything, I just want women and men who have been victims of sexual abuse or rape to know that they can still have healthy and normal sex lives and lose their virginity in a consensual way.

I think she meant physically losing your virginity. But I agree with you in that if your virginity is physically *taken away from you, by force* and without you wanting to give it to said person, then that does not affect your pureness of heart or the spiritual aspect of your virginity in God’s eyes. You are still a virgin and pure in God’s eyes, because “being a virgin” and “staying pure until marriage” is something more than just having your hymen intact. It is a spiritual concept that God created for both man and woman, husband & wife, that through sex their 2 hearts be joined in 1. So if one person is unwilling then the completion of spiritual bondage to that person is not made, nor can it be forced/taken away. I may have gone a little too deep with this, but I just thought I’d add this lol

I LOVE your honesty! I think it's important to also point out that it's never too late to make a change. I didn't wait until marriage, but am committing to waiting now because that's what we are commanded to do (plus the pain that can come from not waiting and then breaking up is seriously unreal). I must say that listening to you, I feel closer to God. I asked to be closer to Heavenly Father, and to love Him more. I was born and raised a strict Catholic, went to Catholic school, for 8 years, and my Faith has waxed and waned throughout the years. When I went through breast cancer, my faith was so strong. My kids, they were young then, were once asked what Mommy does most of the day, for a school Journal entry. Alexandria, my youngest said "she prays all day, says the rosary, sleeps, eats sometimes and gives lots of hugs". I sometimes felt they missed me as I would be in my meditation/pray room all day. Of course I got better and I am guilty of not praying as much. However, I can say that in life, God is my Co-Pilot!! I kiss my Cross when I drive from point A to Point B safely, and Thank Him. I pray to Mother Mary (part of my religion) Anyway, I got close to Him when I went through a hard hard divorce. My husband divorced me after 23 years of marriage. I was 20 when I got married. I do have someone special in my life now. I am currently going through more health related problems, serious problems, and I find your videos to be helpful and comforting. Maybe you can have a bible study, prayer or some other worship for our Lord, to help people who are going through difficult times and need inspiration. We crave it, and want to be closer to our Lord. Kristin, a nice thing too is that you don't need to be religious to want to wait until marriage. My fiancé and I are getting married this September, are both non-religious, and have chosen to wait until marriage too. For us, it was for pragmatic purposes- we started dating in college and, even with protection, there is still a risk of getting pregnant and we did not want that to happen while unemployed and in school. We still chose to wait once we finished college because, well, we are going to have the rest of our married lives for that lol, so why rush it? I'm proud that we both agreed to wait and it was not hard to do so because in our view the cons outweighed the pros. Imo it can be worth it whether you are religious or not :)

+ahava I actually commented earlier, but deleted it because i didn't realize she had already replied to my comment lol, but it basically said that i respect absolutely 100% respect any woman's decision to wait until marriage, the same as I respect someone who chooses not to wait. no one should ever be judged for their personal beliefs, especially because sex is really such an intimate thing. I was simply pointing out that she shouldn't exclude women who aren't christians, and rather than explain her point of view, just say that they wouldn't understand because they may not have the same beliefs as her. I never was once threatened, nor did i say i was threatened. so i really don't think my comment really says anything about me, especially because you don't know me. I also never said that that comment said anything about her, or that i saw her in a negative light. so maybe actually just ask me, or think before making assumptions about who i am.

I think its great that since she wanted to wait until marriage, she did, but thats not unique to only christians. Many women, regardless of their religious beliefs choose to wait to have sex. But there's also nothing wrong with ANY woman (christian or not) who doesn't want to wait until marriage. Sex is a very personal thing and no one should be judged for there decisions. I'm just gonna paste this comment off of another thing that I wrote earlier because its similar to the comment i deleted. just want to make it clear that I'm not threatened or offered by any woman's decision to wait/ not wait until marriage. I want to wait until marriage too. A lot of my friends did it before they even got engaged and I mean it's ok, it's none of my business but for me, I wanna wait. I feel like not many people do this these days, and not many people believe you when you say that you still haven't 'done it', I mean I'm 23 and people are shocked whenever we talk about this and I tell them I'm still a virgin. What baffles me though, is why do they look at me strangely when I tell them that😨I mean I don't look at them strangely when they tell me they've done it. It's a personal choice and a personal opinion. I hope my future husband thinks the same so that we are on the same page like you and Marcus. Lucky you😊

I was in a relationship with a non Christian (nothing bad with that) but he just never helped me grow my relationship with Christ..after I started watching your channel and saw how amazing your godly relationship with Marcus was I decided that the guy I was with was not meant for me.
