THIS IS IT: The BREAKTHROUGH Video that suddenly worked like magic. After watching you paint for a couple of weeks and playing around a little with your techniques and ideas, BINGO! I was inspired to try a few flowers in this style and was surprised at how easy and fun it was to make them look absolutely fantastic! I especially like your background style and found it really worked like a charm to pull everything together. The colors seem to float off the page, bouncing gently on my eyes like lover's kisses. I think I had an aha moment, watching how you painted your petals, with the dagger brush! I don't need to make every petal look like the typical petal! You were totally mellow today, your color palette kinda went with the mood.

Each petal can have its own personality, for sure :) In loose watercolor the name of the game is impression not replication. So we're creating the impression of something not trying to perfectly replicate it :)

How do you change your color on your brush so quickly without mud?

Awesome question. 1. I often dip into colors without rinsing, if they are next to each other on the color wheel. Opposites on the color wheel make mud… so I avoid double dipping those :) Ehhh hope that makes sense, lol!!
