Kristi, I feel like the "unfaithful fan". I started watercolor in January watching your channel....it was wonderful.I loved it and then I "strayed". Found other watercolor channels, do this, do that , not right...my joy faded. Then I found you again !!! I feel that "burst" of wonderful again. I am 80 and tried to join your Patreon, but so many screens come up it is confounding! But I will tell you this your aura comes thru this handheld and fills me with JOY ! So happy to paint with you again.😊

I started watercolor painting half a year ago and I watched a ton of your videos. Your "find joy in painting" approach helped me to be not so hard on myself. This video again is another proof that your spirit can actually change people's minds and hearts. If I could ask you one thing it would be to maybe make a video on how to paint people fearlessly. Because I am shying away from that and I know that with your ideas and your spirit I could find a way to try without fear. Thank you for all you do!

They are your's. Are they not? Who's holding you back? It's all up to you how you use the watercolors or other paints, and which colors you choose. Yet getting to know all techniques that others have already found out, let's you go further just as you decide. But if you really would choose the colors totally blind, or by using dice to decide colors and their placement,, might let you end up very often with only a muddy color. But then again it's up to you what you make with that then.

Kristy, I just love that you share your gifts with us. Your for joys sake little pallet is fantabulous I love the paints I've never used paints that feels so good before and I am a beginner I've been doing it about a year but I stopped for a while. But just happened to find one of your videos and loving what you do, I am your biggest fan now and you have really encouraged me to move forward all I could paint with flowers because I don't know how to draw but you've brought other ideas into my world that I can do without having to draw. I love that you do you. I am trying to learn how to paint without being stressed out on how it comes out if it's good enough I'm just going to keep painting. I don't want to Rob myself or discourage myself of what I might be able to paint. Hoping that one day I will have a style of my own.🤞🖼️🎨🖌️

I love this. If I dont have anything in mind, I'll do a couple and put them up on the mantle until I see what I want to do with them. I also wet the page just let the colors run and mingle as I tip the page. So much fun without the anxiety of producing and easy to pick up and do a bit or a lot. You always inspire me and make me smile, Kristy!

It is ridiculously fun to just put watercolor paint on paper without a plan at all. That could almost be a test in itself to see if someone might enjoy watercolor - tap watercolor paint onto a piece of wet paper and see who is fascinated by it. Good thing it is paint that draws us and not fire. 🤣

I'm watching this video in black and white during a bout of insomnia lol but I've already had an "aha" moment. I'm a beginner who picked up the daniel smith set of 6 mixing colors (it suited my desires at the time), and I've had trouble balancing water control/moisture level with the intensity of those pigments. A little paint goes a long way, both on the page and in my brush! But I think practicing the ombre with this video as my guide may help me get the hang of using those paints. Thanks for having the heart of a true teacher!
