Nice haul! In the amount of time you spent feeding that thing with a spoon, you could have panned out faster! I always preach, "Pan into another pan"! (Pan the blondes out till down to heavy's. Set heavy's down, re pan blondes, pour that heavy's pan into first pan. Then magnet then finish pan!) Now how much gold do you think you put back into the river because the sluice has to much pitch? Each mat or riffle needs it's own pitch to preform properly!

@@CanadianGoldProspector I didn't mean to sound critical. I see you putting a lot of work and effort into your set up. Have you tried using a metal detector? It's worked for me on several occasions in the mountains near where I live. I use it to determine where to pan. Sometimes I only use a sifter and find pea size little clinkers. It adds up with the flower gold I get from panning. It's never a sure thing obviously. I get skunked on occasion. Kinda like fishing I suppose, they don't call it "catching" for a reason. Enjoy your time with your son. Mine is in Florida going to college, haven't seen him in a couple years. Hope you find some better gold. it's definitely out there still.
