Kroger's wants you to believe that this grocery service is more convenient for consumer. But, in fact. This is only how large corporate America wants to eliminate jobs in the future. Its there way of not paying salaries, health, dental as well as retirement payouts. Not, to think that, you as a consumer welcome the social and interactions of picking your own produce and groceries looking for bargains. Look, people may find this appealing but in the long run. And to be honest, greedy companies are finding ways to eliminate employment to those who need it the most. Non skilled workers or retirement folks. Please do yourself a favor and don't support these establishments. For all they do is destroy future employments opportunities period !

Small grocery stores will still exist, and you can choose not to utilize the big stores if you don't want to. But it's nice to know that if you are at home sick, or you are recovering from an accident and cannot go out, that a phone call will bring you whatever you need. I've used Walmart and Amazon for this, as well as Chewy for pet food. What a blessing those deliveries have been. Hauling big boxes of cat litter around, loading them into my trunk, etc. with heavy canned cat food, doesn't help my back. I'm home now with a flareup with my back, and all I have to do is pick up the phone to get what I need. Additionally, a lot of the children of aging parents cannot always be available to go shopping for their elderly parents when they get off work, so this system relieves them of having to go themselves. When I did home health for many years, getting groceries was the biggest problem for homebound people who were fresh out of the hospital, or who had chronic conditions and could not drive. Many folks have no relatives or anyone to help them get food.

there are online ads for just about every major grocery chain; you don't need to spend all your time at Costco to get good prices. Worst thing you can do, for your own future, is to succumb to the lazy online ordering process. You do understand that everything you order on one of those things is being tracked by Google or any number of other entities, right? @@theterribleyoutuber7376 since you ask, I'll answer too ..... that both the $15/hr and the $20 million bonus are too high. I'm retired and I could live on $10 an hour, $20K per year. But it would require relocating to be near the place of work, something many people think they cannot do. (but most could!) As for the $20 million President, the only fix for that is a 100% tax bracket; when they get up to say a million dollars, we just say "you won" and have them send in the excess from their paycheck to cover the national debt. Might even be able to give middle income taxpayers a slight tax reduction, because the President couldn't hire accountants and lawyers to avoid paying income taxes.
