Very true. I am old enuff to remember when they were knocked for sounding like the Scorpions. Marc is a great vocalist and lets face it the genre of music these guys all sung in and our own little narrow mind and our demands for more of the same within it ,a lot of em do sometimes sound similar but that was the reason we all have accumulated so many great albums that all rub shoulders with each other over the years..heh heh heh. Appreciate your thoughts. Keep Crazee and turn it up forever.

I agree with your comment. The only thing that Powerage differs from Long stick is RAWNESS. Powerage contains my favorite AC/DC guitarsounds and best Bon Scott vocals; the guy is LIVING the words he sings, talks and squeals. DOWN PAYMENT BLUES....Bons personal RIP

I can't help but hear the similarities - but it is a huge compliment to be compared and to sound like him. Bon Scott was a legend and it was sad to lose him. It's like having him back with us.

Bon Scott had a very different vocal style before AC/DC. Heck, he even played flutes and recorders in a Gentle Giant-like progressive rock band and his singing was like a wandering minstrel. So maybe it's just the hard rock that makes them sound similar. We compare bands only because it's a convenient way to organize music in our minds.

thats quite normal to think its store-ace but Marc is Maltese and in our language the 'ce' is pronounced as you say 'ch' its a bit of a weird one.

I personally never understood the comparisons between Bon Scott and Mark Storace except they are both great! Well, Bon was great and then died horribly sad. I'm too young to have known Bon at the time he was recording, but since I was born in 1976 that was time to be aware of Krokus. I've listened repeatedly to them and the only similarity is that Krokus are a hard rock band. Krokus is Krokus AD/DC is AC/DC I only gave this a thumb's up because I love Marc and I love Bon.

I luv all the guys I mention here but back when I got into rock as a kid it was usually coz a band sounded a little or a lot like one I already knew so was the simplicity of it all bak then. Brian sounded like Holder while in Geordie so I grew to love them, Angus was a little like Wilko of Feelgood who had jumped about like no one before him so I took to Ac/dc through that, AND wait for it.....When I first heard Bon on High Voltage when it was first released he sounded close to Alex Harvey.HMM

I have been a krokus fan since the early 80's and while bon scott and marc have similarities they were at very different levels. I think marc had more opportunities to show his stuff with krokus. I believe while ac-dc is rock an roll royalty they limited bon scotts abilities with their style. Marc has showed through the years that he is a very capable vocalist. Bon died too soon to show us...

Another lead singer who could've easily filled the slot with AC/DC is Larry Uzzell of Nantucket fame. He, as well as Storace, are still in top form. Axl Rose ?? Oh fucking please ( rolls eyes ).

Hey I thought I was the only one. Like from the riffs and vocals.. they sound like the same band. For a while I thought Long Stick Goes Boom was a AC/DC song..even when I heard the band's name was Krokus, I thought that was just another name they were releasing music under.. I don't really hear Bon Scott AC/DC, more Brian Johnson AC/DC

Michael Chavez I would say average to good. They had a couple of exceptional songs. Ironically they did best when they weren’t pilfering the ACDC catalog. Screaming In The Night for example.
