Kromrivier Hiking Trail | Cape Town

We went out for a day hike to Dutoitskloof mountains. About a 1 hour drive from Cape Town, this is a secret hike in the Limietberg Nature Reserve. I credit this hike with being the one that initiated my love for hiking as I did this when I was about 10 years old and fell in love with it. Arriving at the waterfall at the end is sweetly satisfying. It is a paradise. The hike is called Kromrivier Trail or Krom River Trail. There is another hike there called Elands River Trail which I have never done. Lots of swim spots on this one, so be sure to bring your cosi. We were lucky enough to meet no-one on the trail, but we went on a Monday. I believe it gets busy on weekends. Bookings through Limietberg Nature Reserve.
