I think that in much the same way that cameras nowadays aren't designed by photographers but by technicians, the Kross 2 is designed by technicians rather than musicians. This means that every possible feature is crammed into them, regardless of how useful or obscure the feature is. Surely they could have the basic features required by musicians given more prominence and the less used features in menus? But here virtually everything is buried in menus and it's very complicated to change anything without multiple key presses and navigation. Maybe I'm getting too old but it feels to me that every conceivable feature is crammed in, just because they can.

Like any software program or device, if it's not intuitively designed for the average user (composer/performer) to look at and understand, then it's a chore. Period.

The “Kong Kross” was a great investment for MIDI. Yet for live performances the navigation proved to be quite pessimistic. Nice touch on the keys but simple things like using the sustaining pedal, tempo programming and changing of timbre proved to be a daunting task. It is an amazing workstation however.

KORG hidden fact that it's not as good as other companies for live performances. I spent money thinking its better than other companies. Honestly it's good for studio only and totally waste for live. I think they purposely didn't made option to choose pads as channel changers in sequencer/song mode to use it as SST. This is marketing plan to sell KRONOS which is over 5 times costlier than kross simply for this reason. Purposely they skipped it. Marketing strategy..

When I take output the sound quality of kross 2 sucks whether I take one or two outputs the quality is very bad. But it works perfectly with headphone. Does anyone know about this

My Kross 2 is already en route. I have a BIG question. I use aproximately 80 combis on a concert, each song having from 1 to 11 of them, named accordingly, by me, which I will have to create on this synth, obviously. My question is this. Mid-song, I have to change combis a lot, sometimes jump 3-4 up or down. Since the Kross 2 DOES NOT HAVE a number keypad, how can you jump DIRECTLY on a specific combi? For example, I am on 65, and I have 1 second to switch on 62. Can the big multifunctional numbers be used as a number pad? Thanks in advance!!!

It's only for studio... Not live.. as you cannot avoid program sound cut while changing them using favorites.. They used Smooth Sound Transition in expensive synths.. it's common sense to provide that facility so that customers get maximum benefit and love the companies efforts.. Now I feel VSTs are better than these synths... Or it's better for recording at studio as if sound module.. Unhappy with company as Smooth Sound Transition is purposely not provided..

I purchased korg kross2 two months ago. Some time when I switch it on, it shows "update panel scan system. Now executing " Then it shows completed and says to restart keyboard Can any one say what it is?

I hate Korg's online manuals. I'm trying to change something and the performance manual says see the parameter manual which says more of it is addressed in the "F you loyal customer" manual. $10 added to the price to have a book in my hand would be nice. We all dont have our synth sitting buy the computer to read online confusion. It is no more expensive to have EVERYTHING about OUTPUT ROUTING in the same web site area or category. Call it ROUTING and OUTPUTS or anything similar and have everything about them THERE. I have 3 web sites with 1000 pages each and I havent used 50 pages on any of them. Korg could make this easier for us if they wanted. Here's what I want to do. #1 - Output all Hammond sounds out the L jack so I can run it through my Neo Vent #2 - Get rid of the Korg Rotary effect and all other FX they add #3 - I want all non Hammond sounds to go out the R output jack. I did achieve this with a Program I believe, not sure how, and I'm totally confused and ready to box this thing up and send it back. Anyone know how to do those 3 things? The DF free SD or SG (?) Card you get when you buy from a certain store has very good Hammond individual draw bars and combinations programs. He spent a lot of time getting those sounds as close as possible. Through a Neo or something as good, you'll fool and impress most anyone.

I think part 1 should include set up and necessary equipment list. Screen is too small. Must have key board amp? No speakers. Otherwise nice video.
