Dialectical Behaviour Therapy and a mindfulness stress based reduction programme may help. It sounds like you may have developed a personality disorder due to the abuse - neuropathways can be underdeveloped. You can make new pathways by mindfulness and meditation.

Brought back his little napkin and his hair brush back with me after the funeral and I still cry when I think of him. He was both emotionally nurturing and abusive at the same time but I choose to see the positive aspects of him after he’s gone. I used to work as a nurse and felt most fulfilled then. But that‘s how they look, when they’re in that one mood. My boyfriend does that. When i met him first, he looked like an impressive warrior, even a bit intimidating. Strong, archaic, massive. So true, my dad was a Cancer and now I'm Cancer Sun, Aquarius moon. My dad was very emotional it made me so sick and made me not emotional. He was a mean strict Policeman. I was close with my mother not my Father. He was a provider but was not loveable iin a way a father should be. I really, really, dislike my Cancer Sun. I cry whenever one of those 'Save an animal' commercials come on. I cried yesterday because the breeze was nice. -_- I feel like my Gemini Ascendant tones down the cancer to where it's not as annoying around people, but they tend to under estimate how sensitive I actually am. Maybe the Scorpio Moon hides it? I just dislike being a cancer, because it makes me feel bad when I see someone just.. do what they want, but when they expect me to, it's like I just can't do that? @@AndyC107 yes I do because I'm a cancer it's hard for me to let go and I hold grudges so the Scorpio rising in me makes me want to actually seek revenge on my enemies and it intensifies that feeling. Also I can be skeptical very skeptical and that's a trait that Scorpios has, I don't see things at face value and I'm always looking to find the truth in things. I also look like a Scorpio, I have the features of a Scorpio being intense eyes and having an authoritative presents to where people are actually intimidated by my presence. Cancer sun 6th house; scorpio moon 10th house. Not overtly emotional at all, (maybe because they're in earth houses??). Very perceptive, but I usually know the difference between my emotions, which are perceptive awareness, and which emotions I want to indulge in for drama or sheer curiosity .

I am sun in cancer and sag rising, fire and water, i was dating a gemini guy and i liked him a lot, one time he told me why i am not a showy person because he likes sweet type lol! My dad was a drug dealer and whatever and got killed. Never around prior. I have a Pisces moon and Virgo rising. (Vedic) it affected me a lot. I still does and I’m 32. I’ve stopped hating him, kinda and try to contact him thru meditation. I’m also a female so this really impacts my interest in men. Like I love them of course! But I have a hatred for them.
