The NY Times claims it helps me understand my world, but I believe they want me to understand their version of what they want me to believe is my world. What is The NY Times about now? After 3 years of polling before the last election it appeared to have morphed into some kind of dung fondling soothsayer which I am able to do on my own. When the 3 years were up, and the polling I was subjected to for three years was ceased by results not reflected in any of The Times polling, I realized after 50 years I don't need them.

@@RonaldPetrin The New York Times has jettisoned foreign correspondents. They employ part time 1099 contributors. The days of John Russell, Harold C. Schonberg and days when The Times cared about Bernstein and Woodward scooping them are over. Equal time to normalize and prod subscribers they have clawed and scratched their way to the middle. If by former employees you mean Bill Cunningham I'd say the man believed genius was a communal effect. As far as podcasts and fortune tellers that now display their own agendas in hope of separating themselves from the pack in order to expand their careers I'm not impressed.

Sweet the knowns, the unknowns, and the unknown variables we dont know of yet, need to be prepared for with reasonable contingency planning, given data on provability and the confidence merited from newly gathered data and surveys that pop up as newly known variables. Reporting the news as objectively as possible comes with candidness, humility and practiced due diligence here is a team worthy of having established relevant substantive observable sociopolitical views, to help US understand thus increasing public knowledge.

Do you see a therapist? Seriously, I have my own issues, but you are obviously a decent, hard working, capable and intelligent citizen. What is your motivation? You must have an understanding of the rule of law and basic human decency - social norms dependent on the acceptance of our failings and limitations. What would possibly trigger you to find it necessary to have such an obvious need to respond viscerally? Donald Trump, the convicted (by peers) felon, the disgraced master manipulator, objectively rated as possibly the worst chief executive in our history. I know you could debate these views with some legitimacy, but to take the time to buffer against the obvious limitations of a self professed narcissist with mommy issues and frustrated sexual inclinations? Come on - what gives? Inquiring minds want to know? You don’t seem to be the type subject to manipulation. Facts are facts- we just can’t pretend the truth is optional.
