Krusty may very well be my favorite character now as an adult. He's such a blatant sleezbag, but always (eventually) finds a way to bounce back. He's like an adult version of Mr. Krabs. It's his paper-thin act that always gets me. He really hates his business, but it really is all he knows, so he fakes it until he makes it.

A tidbit, Krusty was inspired by Bob Bell’s Bozo in Chicago. That Bozo show worked on two levels, there was always some adult humor snuck in that went over the kids heads, and you got the feeling that the whole cast tied one on the night before ( or the day of ).
