facts, we are very open minded, we respect and can appreciate different cultures and concepts. some people arent very ''cultured'' ( i hope that doesnt sound offensive) some people dont understand the concept of for example the beauty standards in south korea or how they perceive beauty with men and women especially in the music industry. also especially the way they act and what they believe in, if youre not exposed to it, you will come off as being stereotypical to other cultures and ethnicities.

All BTS fans want are for them to respected as music artists and as people, it's not that hard. BTS actually have the 3rd most liked video on youtube with Dynamite that has over 29 million likes and Boy With Luv ft. Halsey is number 7 with over 23 million likes. I don't recall One Direction ever dancing, rapping, or experimenting with so many genres so I don't get the comparison BTS always get with One Direction other than being a male group who have worldwide success (and that's no hate to One Direction, I just think they are 2 completely different groups with their style and type of music). The McDonalds meal is over in the US now, it was a 10 piece mcnugget meal with 2 new sauces that were available in South Korea (sweet chili and cajun). All 7 of them have plenty of fans (both and women), but there is a thing called the Jimin effect where both men and women find Jimin attractive when they first see him. But if you survey BTS fans on who their favorite is you will get a lot of fans saying they don't have a favorite (or what we call bias) they will say OT7. Love the Golden Girls shirt, it's one of my favorite tv shows.

BTS is not just a "south korean group", they are the BIGGEST BAND/MUSIC GROUP in the whole world and their Fandom named Army is the biggest, strongest and the most powerful & versatile fandom on the planet. They can't be categorised just under Kpop anymore. BTS is a world phenomenon. They have strong massive fan bases spread throughout the 7 continents. You guys really be living under a rock coz BTS is so Massive and huge that they are everywhere, just everywhere from being No. 1 at the Billboards to grammys and what not. BTS are one of the few who came from rags to riches…they still stay humble to this day. They donate millions of dollars every year to organizations. They have wise words basically saying if you can’t listen to our music without judging and assuming things…you will never truly enjoy the music that comes from this group. Being disrespectful and not open minded don’t get you no where. You can’t just react to Kpop mv and expect kpop fans to just let all these “slick” comments roll by. If you can’t open your mind to the industry and struggle they all go through…you’ll never be able to understand. Some of these idols go through years almost a decade of training PRIOR to even stepping foot on a stage. From vocal, language, dance ect. to forcing themselves to hide their emotions and actions in front of the camera. These reactions are a fraction of what the Kpop industry really is. You are asking ARMY to understand you, and we ask reactors to understand both BTS and ARMY. There was a difference with this reaction because everyone showed respect…now I think it would be good for you to understand the history that led to ARMY’s protective energy. Also, gaining an understanding of the demographics of ARMY wouldn’t hurt you. I am a 55 year old American woman with a college-age daughter who was ARMY first. She introduced me to them years ago, but it was their mad success last year that truly made me sit up and take notice - then the “I just wanted to know their names” phenomenon took over and I fell headlong down the rabbit hole.

I appreciate that you try to educate yourself by watching. BTS discography is so vast that you can't just put them in a box like kpop. They are their own league. Also, note that Armys will always be protective of these boys because of their hardship from the past. They are now superstars yet remain humble and kind.

This song means so much in my life as the story to go with it is personal to me. Let me explain, when me and my boyfriend first met we were just drawn to each other and this song was the first BTS song we both listened to as a couple and it descibes exactly how we met, and now this song is our couple song and it holds a special place in my heart as without this song i wouldnt have met my boyfriend (of 3 years) Also Jiminie is my ult bias and both Yoongi and Jin are my ult bias wreckers

Army's will always be protective over BTS, because we know what they have gone through to get to the place they are right now. They're not only amazing singers and dancers, they also write and produce their own music, and in every thing they do, they always make sure to let us know how much they appreciate us (ARMY). I also suggest you to watch their runs, in the soop and von voyage, I think you will realize how much they love each other, they're a family. 💜

We all appreciate your time and work. 2nd, when you ask us to be more understanding to your reactions "because you're American and these are stereotypes" please know that stereotypes are not good, and definitely not an excuse to ppl's behavior. Also, that is saying that Americans are stereotypical, therefore low educated ppl. Not hating here but trying to help. Every BTS song has hidden messages and there are many. In America it is easier to stand out with music than it is in South Korea. ...A song called an IDOL has many elements of South Korean culture. I watch many reaction videos,not just BTS. They are interesting. Did you know that Coolio thaught a lot about BTS.He liked song We are bulletproof. (BTS in American hustle life,2014) I liked the rap of the 90`s.(Coolio-Gangsters paradise, Down low-Johnny B, NANA-Remember the time,..... In this video you all look very polite.
