I loved the 296 immediately! Didn't play for a few weeks, jumped in the new Porsche and went 1.5 sec faster a lap on most tracks! WHAT A MACHINE!

I did 10 laps in the 296 and that's it. At least when i'm in the AMG i'm also driving something different that's still competitive. Everything you say is right... but imo it's simple... drive the car you have that special feeling when your in it. For me that's the AMG. For beginners. You need to be motivated to practice and the 296 for ex. for me is a snoozfest :D But Porsche is worst for beginners imo. And Beamer is a dream for beginners imo as long you got that cornerexit oversteer out it.

Love the comments is only about ferrari 296, everyone knows its BOP OP and kunos have made that car best in the game...its so boring going online with 90% f296s cars and 3 porsche and 1 lamborghini.... and sadly with 1.9 more or less all cars are not competitive anymore! All you can pick now is : f296, porsche 992, lamborghini, bmw m4 and amg. Rest is just j4f offline cars.

I drive the V8 vantage and cream most of 296s. That's not a diss of the car, more that a lot of new players see the videos about it and just jump straight in to it. Was in an lfm race last week and there were 4 Bentley's in my race, and they were all rapid as well. I think the car only makes a real difference when you're a pro level driver. A good am level driver in a "bad" car will consistently beat a slower am level driver in a good one. Tl:Dr the driver makes a bigger difference in ACC.

As an update I tried switch to the 488 Evo, was great around nurburgring, horror story round imola. I was 2s a lap slower in the Ferrari. This brings up another solid point. Different cars suit different driving styles, if you're struggling in one car think about what you struggle with and then jump into a car that is more suitable. The Ferrari was a bit sensitive to bumps, where as the Aston is stable, if a tad uninspiring on turn in. Plenty of room for trail braking with the Aston to counter this however. Experiment, find the car that suits you.

The Ferrari 296 has definitely grown on me. The way it rotates out of corners. I play in VR, and as silly as this may sound, the dash on the 296 has everything I need (the info that can be displayed in VR is very limited. You don't even get that splash page with server settings when joining a new server).

To forget the Lexus mate. I used that car for the last 1,5 years and it’s amazing. It has extremely good top speeds, it’s a bit oversteery in the low speed. But my god is it planted in the high speed. It’s also an easy car to jump in, like the BMW M4.

This was just the info I was looking for as I start in on a new league on Xbox - 1.9 drops between race 1 and 2 so I kinda gotta “buy before I try” - personal experience balanced against tendencies and habits - up against the more objective pros and cons. It’s obvious there’s a lot of wisdom and experience behind your thoughts - It’s hard to find info like this and I really appreciate it, man.

I'm very new to acc, I started with Honda at the begining and I really liked it until I tried 992, it felt very satisfying, later I tried 296 and since then I'm driving only 296, because I cannot match my laptimes with any other car, probably it mostly suits my driving style, but most rewarding and satisfying car to drive imo is 992 and I hope to master it one day.

Spent a long time with the V8 Aston personally in the beginning, done the 296 for a few LFM races a while ago but now I only drive the Mclaren Evo exclusively.

I just switched from 488 to Aston, because I got sick of all BOPed cars just pulling away on straights and corners in LFM races. After 20 min i did my PB on Imola at around 1:41:2... I didnt know what is happening. It was just soooo effortless... New cars are very easy to push and with latest 1.10.2 version you really need to be an idiot on kerbs to make car unstable, so you rarely see mistakes by other drivers. I pretty much totally dropped sprint races in favour of 45 w/ PitStop. When you don't have to fight with your car you fight with drivers, with humans and their human behaviours. I usually qualify mid pack, then getting punted on first lap, and finish pretty all races in top 5. Basically because after 30 min people have their tires dead or arms sore :) 25 min is not enough to even chances out if you are not very very fast. :D

See I didn't read any guides, it put me in the lambo, and I had no real reference beyond it felt very heavy. Tried out the 2018 Ferrari was immediately quicker, but god damn did that car try to murder me as a newbie. Eventually switched to the V8 vantage, and it's been my bread and butter ever since. Jumping back in the Ferrari for a 104 car race next week round Suzuka, and I've definitely improved as a driver as I'm much more on top of its agility than when I started out. Even then, it's still a tricky car to drive consistently, but my god you get it in the window and it's super quick.

@@TVo_Gaming I've switched to the McLaren 720 Evo now. Gave it ago a while back and found it difficult to drive, but have since returned to it, slowly cutting off wing as I get more aggressive with setup. Took some getting used to, but now I wouldn't want to drive anything else.

@@DunkdaHunk yh most people say it’s just about preference of just what you want that the car does in turning or acceleration. I’m finding the Nissan to be quite harsh with entry speed and understeer but on the straight is where I want to be faster, which sums a good preference for the Nissan which I’ve gotten quite accustomed to. (Idk if it’s the fastest though on the straight)

@@TVo_Gaming I find the Lexus is awful to try and pass cause I always catch it in the corners but it gaps me down the straight. Quite honestly never race against Nissan's, they're not hugely popular for whatever reason, maybe due to how it corners? Most of ACC is driver preference, but before bop some cars were definitely a bit too good.

when you are in the home screen menu at the top right hand side of the screen you have to change the car class to open series.

I main the Huracan Evo2 but the V8 Aston and newer AMG feel amazing too. The Lexus is a fun one for sure

I started with lambo and went 4th, 1st and 1st my first 3 races. Felt like i still coulda been faster so switched to Ferrari and struggled even after adjustments and a decent amount or practices laps. Porsche either felt great or terrible just depended on the circuit.

The porsche is really reactive, pretty hard to drive on low downforce tracks. But on full wing, it handles like an absolute dream. Also eats curbs really well.

The Ferrari 296 is the best car for me, sadly his straightline speed is bad but cornering is great. Even the curbs are no longer a problem, with the 488 you where all over the place if you take the curbs a bit to hard. But i still prefer the Porsche and the new Ferrari is second.

The 488 is evil. It's pretty damn quick when you get it in the window, but that window seems to narrow to me. I'm using the 488 for a race next week and I've been getting used to it, but it never seems far away from wanting to throw me into a wall.

@@toodsf1 Instead of keeping 70kph with the accelerator, you floor the gas and keep the car under 70 with the brakes. I do it most of the times, it also warm up the brakes so you can reach optimal tire pressures sooner.

I can stop you in the first minute. I think you should start with the older cars. They are better for learning how to drive and how to properly set the car up. The 2023 cars are all too easy to drive comparatively thus making it nearly impossible to discern which car is best for you. I would also recommend the Maserati. It lacks ABS and TC, but you really learn how to input throttle and ABS in a more discipline manner. kip to about 8:30 . "You have to know yourself to choose your car." That's it. That is literally the only thing you need to know.

Oh interesting. Doesn’t bother me. I am fine with the way this is. Actually I think it’s very good. The still images fit with talking over the pros and cons of a variety of cars instead of some irrelevant footage. It’s the ponder section - helps organize the mind and keep track of which is which - also when I’m picking in-game, it’ll be easier for me to remember what was said because I was looking at the car in the menu as they came up ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
