purchased an overclocked ks0 and it shut off for some reason - i thought it might have died . . so i ran angry ip scanner and found it bumped the ip address up by 1 and reset the unit to factory default (including the mining pool) I was mining for the manufacturer for at least a day or 2. -.- at least it was only a kas or 2. I was VERY easily able to reload the oc software and it is working great! thanks so much to you and the coders!

Legend, thank you! It's a 2.5mm plug BTW. EDIT - managed to use my gaming laptops psu, luckily it was the correct dia plug. Currently hitting 137gh at K1 pool. Not 160 as would have liked but better than nothing!

I have read here about people who restarted the KS0 miner after overclocking. I was able to reproduce the whole thing on one of my miners. It is a thermal problem! Since there are manufacturing differences I have my Miner times considered and a very important point is, the front and rear panel! This should not be directly at the bottom of the counter-screwed base plate, there should be a gap of about 0.5mm wide (fingernail thickness) so that an air circulation can take place here! Because this is important so that the Xilinx processor is cooled well. In my Miner which is restarted at a certain temperature, I have therefore the front and rear panel below grinded off about 0.5 mm and since then no reducible restart!

I would recommend that you guys replace the original power supply first and then use the overclock setting. Don't ask why. I burned my ipollo yesterday😂 the quality of the original charging cable is not safe. Thanks for sharing Rabit❤

I just bought my PSU! Can’t wait to overclock my KS0! Originally I thought it wouldn’t be worth it, but with the nature of the hashrate increasing, staying ahead now is way more important than making my asic last 6+ years.

Alright, it's obvious that these overclocks are not working some of the KS0 machines, i tried all of them and hashrate did not change, i think there will be an upcoming overclock for these machines.

Waited about a week to do this to see what would happen to the KS0's out there. Bought a 180w 19.0v power supply the first day this went live to make sure I'd have it when the time arrived. Did the upgrade today. Went from 68 watts to 109, hashrate bumped up to 160 average. Reject rate just over 3% and it's running cool at 46 degrees C

The github now shows 3 options for the webgui update. 160gh, 140gh and a 120gh version. I found an ASUS laptop power supply around my house that works (180W) so I went to do the update and was pleasanlty surprised to see the easy way available to do. Now just waiting for my other psu's to arrive to update my other one.

The overclocking has a 12% rejection rate. I have 3 KS0s and it happens exactly the same on each one, but I would suggest upgrading to the 120gh and then returning to the new firmware on the website after 10 to 15 minutes of mining on the overclocked firmware. It will reduce the reject rate nearly zero. There are other KS0s that can be overclocked with a lower reject rate, but your hardware may vary. The new fan speed for the overclocked settings or standard settings are 75%. I have a fan on top of each of my KS0s with an external power supply.

These KS0s are SLOW to start hashing.. I just bought one and thought it was faulty. Had to let it run for over 10 mins before it shows anything on the home page, which is annoying cuz I didnt have the pool settings correct, so you have to change setting(s), reboot, and then wait for at least 10 mins. 1 thing I noticed is, once I got the pool settings set correctly, after reboot the Accepted value FInally started to gradually go up, way before the line chart starting showing anything. Another thing that threw me initially was the 5 mins hashrate value kept showing Abnormal, in a red font, for the longest time. (Abby Normal - like in Young Frankenstein, then later "Its Alive!" heh heh
