I had the honour of watching world champion Ksenia Dedyukhina snatching the 32kg during training. She is currently the record holder of 193reps on the 24kg Snatch.

Some ignorant comments here. She's already working muscles just by keeping it from flying it out of her hand. That aside she's generating the momentum and stopping it herself, using her full body, using a wide range of motion. Kettlebell training has nothing to do with those dorky Crossfit exercises.

@@evangrimm1702 incorrect. 32kg above your head takes a lot of mobility to achieve. Mobility is strength.
@letom.3592 жыл бұрын
@@evangrimm1702 yes,but you still feel the weight when it shifts down and back...momentum is mostly used to take the kb up...32kg is a lot...no need for anyone to be ashamed of course,she's a master of her art,this is the only thing she does...

So here is the downfall to this exercise. The constant repetition of lifting the weight up and then basically not even bringing it down slowly just kind of dropping it and let it swim between your legs. Does wear and tear on your rotator cuff. And overtime you are more likely have to have surgery done. And you also risk the chance of ripping your shoulder out of socket if you lift too much weight. So the people are doing this are one yes making themselves stronger but also doing damage to themselves internally. Something to think about.
